Sometimes they feel they need to look at car telemetry or interview the offending drivers post race before they make a decision. It's really inconsistent, but then again it should surprise no one.

Lewis and Merc beat red Bull today because of the superiority of Lewis' racecraft over Sebs full stop.

You really think we had seen the same race if Lewis had a 12kph speed deficiency on the straight?
Nothing to take away from Lewis, who did a fantastic job, but that comment is ridiculous.

12kph speed deficiency on the straight is why Seb could not dispatch Button, and is why he looked scrappy and made mistakes in the race and made contact? And the same 12kph deficiency doesnt give Red Bull car a payoff in the second and third sectors? And overtaking by Lewis was not limited to straights

I suggest you investigate where your backside has gone as crap is not exiting from there

That smacks of bias or impartiality! Shouldn't they have some kind of specific expectations?

Hamilton overtook on the straights, and in the short sprint to T2.
Have you seen any evidence that the Red Bull was a capable car there?

Maybe its because Baby Seb needs more grippie in the corners to drive fast...and Redbull shaves off straightline speed to help Mr "Booboo Kimi isn't fair" with it.

Others don't mind the rear hanging out more and having a car more on the edge, while keeping some good straightine speed for overtaking.

Dont be silly, stop grasping at straws and making a <EDITED WB> of yourself

12kph on the straights is no excuse for getting stuck behind Button, and getting a lesson from Kimi. There was overtaking all over the track, Seb was not as cool as he normally is when controlling the race from the front, anyone with half a brain could see the difference in decisiveness and controlled aggression

Grosjean 20second penalty,Alonso under investigation for using DRS 3 times when not within a second of another car

Well there is no way Alonso should escape that infringement...but who knows.

Vettel passed Button easily the second time with DRS,after he made his 2nd stop,he just failed to do it the first time for a long time, also

Felipe Massa believes Romain Grosjean's should not have been penalised for passing him with four wheels off the track at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Grosjean attempted an audacious move on Massa at Turn 4 as he came up behind the Ferrari on a different strategy, hanging his Lotus around the outside of the high-speed left hander to take the position. As he exited the corner he had all four wheels off the track in order to avoid the Ferrari and the stewards deemed that he gained an advantage as a result and slapped him with a drive-through penalty.

"I think it's wrong if he took the penalty for what he did with me," Massa said. "It was not really wrong. I don't think he went four wheels outside, I thought it was only two. No complaints from me."

Massa struggled to eighth place at the end of the race but refused to blame Pirelli's new tyre constructions for his lack of form.

"I think, first of all, the car was not competitive at this track, that was the most important thing," he said. "We saw teams like Mercedes doing a good job on these tyres despite the temperature being high and they won the race. I don't know, maybe these tyres are going to be better for other teams but I think we need to wait a couple of races to be sure on different types of track."

hmmm, Alonso's argument will probably be that the light indicator for DRS was on and he assumed he was within a second of the car in front. Not really Alonso's fault if the DRS sensor is faulty to allow Alonso to use it!

Anyway, worst case scenario is Alonso will be given a 20 second penalty, which since Grosjean is 20.something behind in P6 (with the penalty) wont affect the result.

*EDIT* Ferrari fined 15,000 Euros for the incident, they're clearly blaming the team then.

Theres no way it would be fair to punish Alonso. Ferrari have had issues with the DRS opening for years now

Apparently it's worth the fine to just open the DRS even when you're over a second back. Didn't gain them much today though. I think we'll get a lot of headlines from Marinello over the break.

Ferrari are doing the best impersonation they can of Mclaren last year.

Lol 15k Euros....Ferrari could go and hunt for that between their couch pillows at HQ.
