That's ok, I tweet him stuff. :P

I doubt he reads that too.

Course he reads it! he's always thanking his fans for their support!

Just the the president of the United States personally reads all the millions of Emails he receives.

Obviously, a black man in power in the USA, all he gets is hate mail... mainly from Republicans... if he was a basketball star, he'd get more fan mail than Lewis!

....Though I believe I get around the same amount of fan mail as Button these days. :scratchchin:

Jenson has never particularly been a fan favourite, maybe because he was stuck in lowly cars for much of career, so didn't attract much attention... I do wonder how popular Lewis would have been if he had to struggle through the ranks instead of being given a world championship capable car in his first season. This is not having a pop at Lewis, it's a valid question I feel!

Kobayashi was a pretty popular guy and wasn't in a world championship caliber car. I think people liked his "racing". Hell the guy's not even on the grid and still has a following.

I hate to say it but I feel that many of my countrymen & women tend to be glory hunters, follow whoever is successful, I remember a number of people I know suddenly becoming Button fans after winning the first couple of races in 2009. In Japan which is where Kobayashi has the biggest following (obviously) tend not to be that way, they get behind all their drivers regardless of whether their at the front of the field or bringing up the rear.

I disagree that Jenson is not popular. He gets a huge reception at Silverstone. Beats me how, but I'd tell a lie if I said differently.
To me Lewis is far more open and genuine , yet he often gets misrepresented, misquoted and given a hard time by the press. He's leaning to play the game but it doesn't come easy, he's too honest.

Most drivers get misrepresented and misquoted; that's the nature of the beast, reporters, websites and print media will twist any story to sell more newspapers, get more hits etc...

And a little record into the bargain! Lewis is the first driver in F1 history to win a race in each of his first seven seasons.

Though I must say it's been a long long long time since I've seen Lewis NOT have to fight hard for a victory. Every time he wins, he went through some serious risks and had to make some daring manouvres to put himself in position to win.

When do we see a Vettel style, pole - lights to flag victory for Hamilton? Could it happen as soon as the Belgian GP in 3 weeks? Much cooler track, power circuit with Lewis Hamilton to boot. I think Mercedes are favourites now.

I'm not. I think you need to re-read what she wrote more carefully. ;)

I'm not libel for RC's grammatical strays. :hehe: The fact remains, Lewis Hamilton is the only driver in history to win a race every year of his F1 career.

That's an impressive record!
