I can understand why some people on here call us Hamilton fans Fanboys, when you guys consistently paint him as some sort of demi-god. Vaptin wasnt being negative about Hamilton, but you guys hit back with. "No. no, Hamilton hasnt done that - he is the best fastest most greatest driver ever, so doesnt need the teams help" (yes, Im paraphrasing)

In this case its the common situation where someone says something in a certain context that is clear and meaningful, and then the knee jerk reaction from certain loyal Lewis/Mclaren/F1 fans is nitpicking and pedantry. This then derails the original premise

So lets all be pedantic, when did Lewis actually say 'move him out of the way?' I heard him question if Nico was on a different strategy. And then guess what? Lewis did not wave his fists, he did not say 'thees is rediculos' he didnt weave angrilly in front of the pitwall, he didnt cry for laps about it 'call it off guys pleeeese'

In fact he got on with it as if

I think it's a sign of confidence, it's saying, I don't have time for this, I've got other things to worry about.

Not once did he bitch about it after the race

just being strictly pedantic, but who heard Lewis ever ask for a teammate to be moved out the way? say like Nico or Seb 'I am faster than him, do something etc etc'

He didnt question Nico's strat. He made a statement, knowing full well what strat Nico was on:

From Radio Transcript
Lewis Hamilton to Peter Bonnington - "Nico is not in the same race."
Tony Ross to Nico Rosberg - "Nico you are on a different strategy to Lewis, don’t hold him up."

If you think that was not Lewis asking the team to get Nico out of the way, then thats fine. We just disagree. I have no issue with that.

Hey look, a post that's derailed to Hamilton again.

To get it back on topic, what do you reckon that there is a deal with Bianchi for engines here:

A reliable source and friend of mine, @Kiril, says "According to ex-Ferrari engineer, Rodi Basso, James Allison is indeed heading to Maranello."

I was hoping he'd go to Williams but their sorted now, so he can go where he wants. I.E McLaren. Hmmmmmmm.

How can Ferrari have two chief technical officers?

I think Mercedes has started a trend.

In the old days Ferrari won everything because they could out test the rest, now with the testing ban, the way to flex financial muscle is to buy all the top staff. I think Merc have shown that it doesnt matter if you have 2 or 3 TDs or even 2 TPs hanging around, because there is always 1, 2 or 3 future cars they can be working on.

Its like McLaren feeling clever by abandoning 2013 to work on 2014 thinking the will get some type of benefit

Merc and Ferrari are already working on 2014 and 2015s cars

It's like all the staff in F1 teams suddenly thought "Quick, everyone switch!"

Chances are there will be only a few teams left on the grid soon, maybe each running more 3 or 4 cars

All these teams are sailing so close to the wind, all it will take is another credit crunch ( or the one we got already when the govs stop printing money) and its gonna be bye bye racing for many

Credit crunches don't have uniform effects. Some businesses thrive during these times - Ferrari have done pretty well through it all. There are even industries that tend to do well, ie movie theatres and fast food to name a couple. When some teams fall aside, others will take their place.

On the issue of having more than 2 of a particular type of car, I'd personally love to see a return to this. With the right constraints this could work well.

Or maybe go back to teams buying chassis from the larger ones.
