hair dye, face junk, marrying himself etc, foreign dictators is probably one of his more normal episodes :hehe:

edit: from wiki
Rodman experienced an unhappy childhood and was shy and introverted in his early years. After aborting a suicide attempt in 1993, he reinvented himself as a "bad boy" and became notorious for numerous controversial antics. He repeatedly dyed his hair in artificial colors, had many piercings and tattoos, and regularly disrupted games by clashing with opposing players and officials.

Thats the stuff legends (and brands) can be built upon. A sportsman with true talent doing his own thing. I reckon its the sportsmen that are not so good that need to worry about what or how they come across. Because sports unlike pop music or acting is about someone who can do something you cant and that means you are curious about them and whatever they are in time will become 'cool' or the 'done thing'

As long as he starts winning again I am sure he wont regret opening up

Strange world, when we accept and even celebrate 'bad' stars, drunks, violence, hard partying, drugs etc, but we are cautious when someone with supreme ability at something shows a side thats easier to ridicule. Still doesnt matter, he is breaking ground by being the first F1 driver to be sensitive etc etc

For me though he needs to wake up and realise that he could have a different Nicole every day of the week, maybe more than one a day or simply rotate them. Hopefully leaving her will see him go on a spree because if he hasnt worked out the only solution to a breakup by now he needs a slap or two :hehe:

Jeez! He loves the girl! His world has Fallen apart and he's trying to put the brave face on. He doesn't want a different Nicole every day of the week, he wants his Nicole, but he also wants success in his career, and the two aren't compatible. He's chosen career and he's hurting. He's driven by his emotions and I like him all the more for it. Those who say he's calculating and ruthless are just so far off the mark they might as well just go back to bed!

Ok fair enough, he really loves her is really hurtin. Welcome to the adult world lewis, you left home, you were well brought up and you are a good person.

But in the real world marraiges dont last for 10 years, especially Hollywood ones, especially when both have different career tangents. All im saying is most people learn this lesson earlier, it hurts, childhood sweetheart/soulmate/love of life etc leaves, it hurts like a bast**d for a while, then all of a sudden, you find time has erased the memory and there is something you like about other girls.

Then in time you are almost thankful to her for having provided that fired up reason to go out and do the fun stuff :hehe:

(this goes for ladies also RC) equal opportunities and all that

They are never gonna be forever, ergo its best to cut the loss early, do the mourning then proceed to the good stuff of being a 28yr old F1 str with a private jet

The hurt may dim when you loose a soul mate, but it won't go away and it won't be compensated for. Fun times aren't a real substitute. Lewis has given up a massive thing, which shows how committed he is to achieving his motor racing dream.

Ok but if you agree that they were not going to make it together for ever after, then its a good thing he is cutting now rather than let it drag on and get more fuzzy and mess his career up.

And if they were really soulmates, then they wouldnt be splitting up, i.e one of them (guess who) would have given up the career and been happy just following the other one around

i would be surprised if he is not linked with a new girl by end of year, in fact Id put money on it

Yes, I agree it was nigh on impossible for them to be together with the careers they both have, and yes he would likely have had his career compromised more. So it shows he's committed to his career hugely ( you hear that folks who say he just wants to party!!!) He may well be linked to another female before the end of the year, but I would put money on his heart being elsewhere.

You guys are discussing "LEWIS' BREAKUP"!!! This is like 'teen magazine' now. :hehe:

IMHO, Lewis is a big boy...and he needs to move on. I've seen rships like this during my bachelors where people are off and on, it not only looks sad (leaning towards pathetic) from the outside, but it's emotionally a huge drain on both parties. The best (and hardest) thing to do is cut the cord completely and forget each other. The worst thing Lewis can do from here is get back together with whatsherface. :hehe: He needs to just embrace the bachelor life (like cookin mentioned) and race his cars AFAP (as fast as possible) oh no wait...in F1 today that will get you killed. More like 'as slow as possible'.

Personal note to Lewis:
GET OVER HER BRO.

I think that's exactly what he's aiming to do Ham. Doesn't mean he's over the moon about it though, hence the sad face sometimes.

I don't know, I thought he would've figured by now how to get over a woman. Mooning and crowing over her by saying she was someone so special, etcetc....that just drags the process out. I'd focus on all her negatives (though I won't mention them of course) as much as I can, I find myself falling out very quickly that way. Sharing how I 'lost someone amazing' to others would just remind me "I just lost someone"...how does that help?

He doesn't share. He answered a question when asked because he's polite and won't say 'mind your own business'. The break up happened weeks ago and he'd said nothing.
