I'm really surprised by Ferrari's strategy. Both cars were as competitive as they've been in Q2 for a long time. Seeing them go out on the prime tire (mediums) was a shock. I can only guess that they believe it will be even warmer tomorrow and are expecting very high deg on the softs under heavy load. Be interesting to see what lap the lead cars start pitting on.
Very good lap from Lewis.
Big mistake by Mercedes.
Webber caught the Ferrari too fast and paid the price - sitting in the turbulent air cost him dearly in the final sector of his hot lap.
I'm thinking the same geetface. The top 3 are going to be very tough to predict. Vettel never goes well here, who can forget his ridiculous race in 2011 while Alonso, Hamilton and Webber were dicing it out at the front?
And Mercedes...hot conditions, new tyres, new setup for Hamilton, another big question mark. Webber has a chance to win, but the first corner here isn't friendly and we know Webber isn't a champion at starts and working his way through tight first corners.
Very tough. Though If we go for a few gambles though, we could work our way up the pool very quickly indeed. *ponderponder*....
