I don't think Button was ever 2 wins ahead of Lewis at any point..which season was this?

But agree on the part where Rosberg should capitalize on this period and he definitely is doing that!

I think that Rosberg will be able to match Hamilton over the course of a season; Rosberg is an incredibly strong driver that is often underestimated, I, myself underestimated him before he joined Mercedes and showed a seven time world champion the way to go. It's unfair to claim that Rosberg will fall by the wayside when Hamilton gets settled into the Mercedes team!

I think the thing that's "missing" from Rosberg is that capacity to manhandle a car that's not up to par, getting that half second more out of it. When the car is working well he's as capable as any of the WDCs on the grid to bring it home for a win.

I don think there's anyway Rosberg will fall by the wayside, but when Hamilton gets the car to his liking, I think he'll have the edge.

I do not think he will fall by the wayside in any significant manner. I dont think he will get lapped by Lewis at any point for example. But I think Lewis will extract just that bit more performance from the car more often. Therefore he will tend to quali higher and do better on Sunday. Nico will be close or match him when things are good with the car etc. But when the car and circumstances are a bit more challenging I believe Lewis will be more consistent.

For example Nico has grabbed pole when the Mercs are clearly ahead, whereas Lewis has outqualified him when they were not as clearly ahead of the rest. Also Nico goes missing lot in races and I have yet to see him carve through the field like Lewis.

Finally when Nico has beaten Lewis in quali, it has been fractional, whereas when Lewis has beaten Nico we are starting to see the type of 0.47 difference thats mighty significant

So Nico is settled, and Lewis is settling and the pattern suggests Lewis is starting to extract more consistently out of the package

My opinion.

It is your opinion that we've only had 5 qualifying sessions so far? Are you f**king high or something?

Sure. I'm high. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Pole positions.

As for the rest of what I wrote, it was 3am in the morning and I honestly can't be f**ked explaining myself to people like you.

Prost was known for his superiority over all his team mates except Lauda who beat him 0.5 points. I don't care who beat him in his debut year, and I'm not going to wage in a debate.

I don't have to check my facts before posting in an open forum. You could just simply disagree with me in a civilised manner.

It would be awesome to see Nico win a WDC, first father son pair to do so?

I think Graham/Damon Hill were the first father/son pair. But it would still be awesome nonetheless...

Well if you don't bother checking your facts before posting in any forum, why take you seriously? We know where you stand now. A guy who only follows qualifying, and doesn't care if he's talking bullsh*t when facts on the matter are readily available. :wavey:

By saying a driver loses the chance to be regarded as great by losing to a teammate

then saying 'oh except for a narrow margin' and 'oh apart from that year', and 'oh apart from his debut year' looks less like objectivity and more simple predjudice

'Oh it was 3 in the morning when I wrote this, but I dont need to justify anything'

This is typical of the blind anti Hamilton attitudes that fires up the most militant of the Hamilton defence league. :wavey:

For those keeping score of qualifying it's 6 to 3 to Lewis.

It's Rosberg's chance to show what he's made of tomorrow. The podium has to be the target, and I think he could even have an advantage starting on the primes. The only issue for him is he's got the moving chicane in Button to work around quickly, if he can do so he's in the show at the end.
