Everything is not rosy yet.
While the headline times give an indication of each team's qualifying pace, it was the longer runs that provided the chance to assess who is likely to be strong in Sunday's race, with Red Bull predictably good on high fuel. Lotus and Ferrari were also competitive, while Mercedes looked slightly off the pace again.

They said the same thing on Friday in Silverstone. Mercedes have been handy at playing the Redbull game of looking tame on Fridays.

I didn't get to watch practise I was out...but I've just been and looked at the GP thread and in FP1 the Mercs are one/two. So what are they doing bad? Did it all go downhill in FP2 ?

I agree with Hammer, Merc have been doing a lot of sandbagging right from the start and it would make sense for then to have changed something, say, testing certain parts in the pm,

or maybe even old fashioned sandbags in the cockpit :hehe:

after showing the speed in the am despite the new tyres, probably no need to get the backs of the others up till the race regarding long running pace
