There's a difference between a small hole and a few days tyre testing.

Or using an illegal suspension for half the season? anyway, I'm sure Lotus did it in good faith and asked Charlie if it was okay.

But there is absolutely no ambiguity about a rule that says 3 struts only

I thought there was no ambiguity about not being able to test with the current car :)

Drivers have said they WILL boycott if the tyres are exploding again.

At the end of the article Button says they followed all pirelli's guidelines.....which suggests they didnt swap them . And they had two failures.
So I guess we watch practise closely for signs of exploding or near exploding tyres.
I wouldn't blame the driver from withdrawing. They take risks anyway, but this one was/ is completely avoidable

Button says in the paper( just read it) that Mclaren did swap over the tyres but it was WITH PIRELLI'S AGREEMENT :yikes:

Sorry but this Pirelli bunch are just a bunch of f**ktards. Liars trying to cover up their incompetence.

And there is a difference between unintentionally breaking the rules and cynically doing so and trying to hide the strut

Woah woah woah, calm down jumpy jumpy Merc fans.

I was talking about a small hole in a Sauber not another suspension strut on a Lotus, so why even bring that into my conversation like I was having a go at Merc but defending Lotus, I never even mentioned them...
