Agree Di Resta might be dour but he has certainly got a pair, and is starting to show top skills. If he continues like this he has to be considered for the top seats

3 races in a row he has started in the last 6 on the grid (none appear to have been his fault either), and all 3 times he has recovered to score points. If I was Boullier, i'd be speaking to Di Resta about 2014, he'd be great competition for Kimi if he stays and unlike Grosjean usually gets the car to the finish while racing fairly hard!

I still dont like him much (Di Resta) dont like his boring interview style, dont like how quick he is to blame his team, and dont like his 'im alright Jack' attitude to the tyres.... mine didnt explode so whats the problem.
that said he has impressed me with his driving, gone up a lot in my estimation this year; and i felt really sorry for his exclusion from quali at his home GP, that was harsh for him. Just smile paul!! and stop being a bitch. Ah maybe thats just how he comes over, maybe he's a sweetie-pie after all :P

Yeah I found that a bit odd.

Kimi said the same thing. As long as my tyres were intact, who cares.

What are they supposed to say? They are paid a lot of money to drive cars and FI and Lotus have had the measure of the tyres since the start of the season. Racechick, it seems you dont like Paul much, you don't like how he interviews? I actually like how he interviews, he tells it as it is, no flim flam. And to my knowledge he has not Tweeted sensitive information to everyone :hehe:

you are making negative comments about Lewis, only to windup RC because she dared state her opinion about Di Resta. There was no need to bring Lewis into this and it was only done as an unprovoked ad hominem attack on another member

Regarding Paul's twitter, did anyone see the posts he made after Quali at Silverstone? Firstly he posted a picture of his new helmet for the British GP then said "Now you'll be able to spot me..... Also I'll be at the back :)"

Then after the race he tweeted a photo of himself surrounded by cakes and various finger foods at the FI hospitality place and tweeted "Making sure we don't make those same mistakes again."

I just think he tells it as it is in interviews, but isn't a fan of them, he seems more alive on Twitter or in set pieces compared to being interviewed ad hoc or after a race.

Why is it that people tend to react only to negative comments about drivers they like? I guess the focus is going to be on Vettel, Hamilton, Alonso, Button because they're champions they're sold with the bill of goods making them better than the rest (insert your reason why they're better than the rest here). So when they under perform, it's expected for them to pick up the mantle they're been accustomed to as a WDC and show the greatness. Kimi seems to be the exception, not sure why.

Personally I can't stand Kimi, he's a solid driver given the right car, with great pace but I don't think he's shown that he can take an under performing car to the podium the way Alonso or Hamilton can but that's neither here nor there. To me Kimi comes off as the biggest prima donna of the WDC lot, not a team guy in the slightest. But you don't hear me bashing the guy on every other posts which is what the issue some have about your post count cookin.

I mean to a great extent the ones that could squelch the bashing most would be McLaren and Button, and having some success but that's not likely this year so the posts will go on and on.

I'm going to go over the the Mercedes threat and bitch about how it's no longer a YDT so they shouldn't be excluded from it.:wink::hehe::whip:

Oo, only just spotted this, and since it has my name on it,I'll reply.

No I'm not a fan. That's what I said initially.
No I don't like his interview style, I said that as well, and gave the reasons why.
I don't know if he's tweeted sensitive info, I don't follow him on twitter.
I realise his attitude to the tyres is governed somewhat by the fact the FI goes well on them, but still find it odd that he disregards the safety aspect.
All that said I respect his driving and am impressed, and after all, that's what it should be about really, the driving, and he gets a thumbs up.

Going back to the safety aspect of the tyres, Button gets a thumbs up here  . He wasn't directly affected by the blow outs but has spoken out strongly on the need to ensure safety.

Oh that's rich. :beans:

I think Lewis is one of the best driver's I've ever seen and I love watching him race, but I'm not afraid to criticize him. She and you are.

You want to talk about bias, read yours and hers post about anything that would have been about Lewis. I post quite a lot when I see RC being a lil fan girl. Mostly because it annoys the hell out of me when I see people treating the human body like an automaton.
