Seems like Webber is leaving F1 to race for Porsche!

Who will join Vettel at Red Bull?

Yes, this was inevitable I feel. Mark Webber's a grand chap, with quite an endearing personality in my opinion, but his fractious relationship with Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel was always going to be a push factor. He was also getting increasingly vocal about the fast-degrading Pirelli tyres, and other recent rule-changes.

Geetface, I'm sure, will be mortified

What is really exciting though... who will replace him at Red Bull? One of the Toro Rosso guys... Vergne / Ricciardo? Or another current top driver? That seat is surely going to be hotly contested!

Awwwwwwh balls

Well I hope Webber has success in Porsche, gonna miss Mark but I guess it's for the best

[Hammer278]

I'll miss the guy. One of the few REAL men left in F1.

Oh, and this is further proof of how smoke in F1 can easily turn to fire. I recall Porsche vehemently denying these suggestions and Webber saying NAW, NAW WAY!

This comes a day after VJay said that he wouldn't stop Paul leaving in 2014 if he wanted to move to a top team......

But it will be sad to see Mark leave, but at least he'll still be racing for a while, I've always liked his down to earth no approach to life, he just seems like a genuinely nice guy. So good luck to him.

Cheers for MW

<- just one sad face, rather than my normal 200+ smilies spam. I have not the heart for it.......

Please let Kimi have his seat. I think that would make for a fascinating 2014...

I think this will be a great move for Mark, personally.

[What's Burning?]

1) I think it's rude when people command a topic "discuss"
2) Webber will be winning Le Mans next year, don't sweat it.
3) Vettle would love Kimi as a team mate since he can't have Hamilton or Alonso.

And the silly season REALLY begins: a TOP seat is available

[LiamCatterson]

If I will be honest, this was a choice of being the lapdog for another year or being free, thank goodness Mark chose right, but he'll be missed for sure

I've been a fan of Mark Webber since he started his F1 career in Minardi all those years ago, I will miss his straight talking attitude and never say die racing style, usually after a piss poor start or suffering some sort of technical issue. But this was inevitable really, I think I would have exited stage left after the way Red Bull has treated him, in-particularly Helmut Marko's constant put downs on the Aussie. I wish Mark the best of luck in whatever he decides to do in the future, another great character lost from F1!

Hulkenburg deserves this place,if Perez can make McLaren smile,so can he

[myownalias]

I think it'll be one of the STR drivers, both have been fairly impressive in the last two years, and like Ferrari, Red Bull won't want too top drivers, they'll want Vettel as #1 and a supporting #2.

Will miss you Mark. Lets hope he wins the championship before he leaves Kubica for Red Bull 2014!

Vettel said Webber's not going because of Vettel's arseyness( well not in so many words, but that's what he meant. ) Seb, yes he is, he's had enough of you!!
