The tour goes through Mouitier ( 35 mins from my house in France) on the 19th July. I arrive after a non stop drive from Nottingham late on the 18th. A bit too tight his year. I'll watch on tele. But it has come right past the house in other years.....so here's hoping .

How long does it take you to drive that non stop drive from home? I'd make the effort to go, considering it's only a half hour drive but knowing your place you'd be looking at a mountain stage which mean you'd get the extended view rather than the peloton passing by your house doing 40 Mph and you get to watch them for all of 30 seconds.

It's about a 14 hr drive, incl tunnel crossing. But Moutier is a bottleneck when driving to the alps on busy weekends, so the traffic might not be pleasant. ( actually the tour is more towards Albertville than Moutier when you zoom in on the map, which is a bit further away.)

:yikes: just looked at the map, you're within a half hour drive from a half dozen ICONIC Alps climbs! And you can be in Milan in about an hour and a half.
