I think I speak for everyone here, we wish him the best, and hope that he gets better soon!

He's 89... chemo is hard on a 40 year old, let alone someone his age. I'd go off on a drinking binging and drug use run that would put most men 1/3 his age to shame. :drink:

I would put Murray Walker up there with the greats of F1, he is as much a great name as Senna or Fangio, his name is synonymous with F1 all around the world, let's hope Murray can make a full recovery from this diagnosis, F1 will never be the same without hearing Murray's voice on TV broadcasts around the world!

He's meant to be doing some pre-race stuff for the British gp with the beeb.

Most definitely Murray is as much F1 as Bernie is. Even now for most longtime followers Murrays voice and enthusiasm defines F1 more than any team and most drivers.

The first words I knew where Walker, Player, Murray, Gordon it seems

Unrealistic but I wish he would stick around forever commentating and making mistakes :crying:

Some good news for a change....

Murray Walker on the mend, no longer needs chemo
The legendary 'voice of F1', Murray Walker, has revealed that he's been told that he doesn't need an intensive six-month round of chemotherapy for cancer after all.

Iconic long-time former F1 commentator Murray Walker has told reporters that he won't have to undergo an intensive six-month course of chemotherapy after all, after receiving "unbelievably" good news about his condition from the doctors...... [full article]

Unless I am very much mistaken, this is EXCELLENT news :D

Murray Walker is a legend, and unlike some of the other legends (Bernie, Senna, Schumacher etc), I don't know anyone that dislikes Murray!
