Holy crap...then we were actually at the same forum! What was your nick over there? I was Merc Fan. Moderators were like RusEvo, Sailqueen, etc, right? They over at another forum right now...one much tougher to find than this one. Oh and BTW, many moons back...the site changed hands WAY before Lewis' name was mentioned around in F1. The guy was a nobody back then in F1 terms, let alone nicknames.

Not sure if I should post this here or the button bashing thread or the Mclaren thread but they're basically the same threads so here. He's not such a bad guy.

Why do you think Jenson is saying that? Why do you think he's saying Lewis' speed will shock you? Why do you think he's saying everyone has problems when they aren't happy wit the car?
Do you think it's because he's suddenly decided to be nice about Lewis?

I've never seen him be mean to Hamilton but there we are.

I'm sorry but if I was in Button's position I'd try and convince the world that Lewis is the best out there/God/Demi-God whatever....if he says Hamilton is nothing special, that just makes him look like a less than average driver, the 3 years partnership doesn't get erased so quickly from the paddock's (Whitmarsh's) minds.

Its typical Button. He is obviusly looking ahead to the end of the season when his seat will be under pressure. As Rosberg would be ahead of him for consideration at any team he might care for he has to say Lewis is much faster.

Anyway right now he has his hands full of Sergio and has to beat him convincingly (which he isnt doing) to have any credibility. Thing is, no matter how much a nice guy he might seem or be his career is littered with sneakiness and backstabbing

just ask Frank Williams

Y'all just turned a smile into a frown. What a miserable bunch to make something positive into something totally negative.

Wasn't Button dropped by Williams despite having a contract or an agreement of some sort?

No. Button did the dirty on Frank, signed a contract with him then wanted to get out if it

Button signed a deal with William's but chose not to honour it
I believe it cost Jenson about £10m of his own money to get out of the contract

I wouldn't call it dirty. It was a business agreement that was settled. Whether it was Jenson's money or Honda's is another story, but in the end by hook or crook that decision got him a WDC title.

Don't really see how he did the dirty. All he did was have to buy himself off Williams.

If anyone had the dirty done to them it was Button when BAR blocked him from returning to Williams. He then had to pay Williams £20 million so he can stay at BAR. Williams are certainly not the victim here. They're £20 mill better off! Ultimately it worked out well for Button.

This is maybe like one of those magic picture puzzles.
