They are mostly builders, and they are in England.

Why is it so important to have a Brit on the podium? Are other nationalities less worthy of being on the podium? Nationalistic claptrap!

You telling me you don't think a huge majority of the British fans at Silverstone want to see a British driver win....?

I was meaning in general terms, not just at a British event. But, for me, whoever is on the podium should be there for doing well, regardless of where they are from.

But LH statement was about having a British diver on the podium at Silverstone for the British fans who have made the effort to go watch it. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.....

I just saw a quote about the supposed importance of a British driver on the podium with no mention of the British GP.

Maybe read the whole article before making comments?

Hamilton also said he wasn't affected by the performance shown by Vettel's Red Bull in Montreal, with team-mate Nico Rosberg having proven Mercedes can have a quicker car on certain days.

"His pace is not demoralising at all. I'm much stronger than that. He has had a car like that for years and is still doing the same thing. But we are coming up fast and Nico beat him in Monaco so it can be done. I want to give the British fans a good result for sure."

So you took a single quote out of context, and decided to give judgement calling it 'nationalistic claptrap' without bothering to read the linked article and actually find out what he was on about.

Andrew strikes again.

No, I took a quote as it was written here. So, no I took nothing out of context.

So kindly reel you're neck in and stop being obnoxious for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Well no. For a few reasons.

1) that's not Silverstone.
2) that's not a British F1 driver.....

.... and....

3) that's not a podium.
