If Schumacher knew who knows what he would have done to the poor child.

I don't know...Schumacher had this aura of 'fear' about him, as in other drivers actually looked up to the guy and feared him for his skill/ruthlessness. I remember my feelings when I first started watching the sport, when supporting the real McLaren of last time in late 90s, Mika VS Michael...whenever Michael comes out of the pits for qualifying, I'm all like "damn...". And the paddock shared this feeling.

With Vettel however, we have Alonso and Hamilton who has more respect for Adrian Newey than Vettel. It's like half the grid think of Vettel as this lucky rich kid who has gotten his success through superb timing/fortune...with Redbull and Newey. Unlike Schumacher who worked his way into Benetton, then left after 2 WDCs into a lousy team called Ferrari and worked its way up to dominance. It's a completely different philosophy. So even if Vettel wins 10 WDCs with Redbull, everyone on the grid are just going to be like 'meh'. No one can love to hate the guy unlike with Schumacher..Vettel's like a Bieber, innocent lucky kid who's riding his fortunes. Good for him anyway. :)

For once I agree with Hammer. It is hard to believe that he has the same anount of championships as Alonso and Hamilton who are both highly rated

That is true. People have respect for certaina drivers, but I always look at the car instead of the driver. I always thought that Webber is very unlucky, he was leading the championship I think last year.

I doubt he'd have been allowed to join Ferrari whilst Alonso is still driving. I can't really see Alonso playing 2nd fiddle to Vettel, not Vettel playing 2nd fiddle to Alonso.

Both Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton admit Sebastian Vettel has set the bar high in the opening races of the season but think he can be caught.

“He’s doing a fantastic job,” said Alonso.
Hamilton said...: “Sebastian’s doing an incredible job"

Alonso and Hamilton praise Vettel’s start to season
