Eddie Jordan's got some intense sweat-patches on the BBC Forum

I didn't much enjoy his shouting on the podium...and by what I saw, Alonso was pretty irritated too.

If Kimi was on the podium, he would have punched him in the face. :hehe:

What do people think of the blue-flag incidents re. Adrian Sutil and Giedo Van Der Garde?

I think Sutil was being a little b**ch because it was Hamilton behind...so that drive through was fully justified. As for Van Der Garde, he got exactly what he deserved. Though I admit I'm glad that happened, since it helped keep Webber of Hamilton. :hehe:

They seemed to be very hot on blue flags today.

Sutil would of been a lot further up the field if he had not been so unlucky.

Both were naughty but Sutil kind of helped Hamilton in an odd roundabout way as Hamilton was able to use his DRS to defend against Alonso. I guess Sutil was desperately trying to make up for his earlier spin and didn't want to slow down to be lapped. Can't really think of any excuses for van de garde.

Sutil was being waved blue flags and lights at the exit of turn 2 for the rest of the lap and Lewis only got past him on the straight before the final chicane, almost a whole lap under blue!

As for Van Der Garde, Webber really doesn't have much luck with incidents like that, but no Idea what VDG thought he was doing turning in like that when the blue light was flashing on the approach to the hairpin.

That wasnt bad luck that was being an arse. I like Sutil but he acted like an idiot and deserved that, disappointed in him.

Jabberwocky probably thought Sutil was just unlucky because it helped screw up Hamilton's 2nd place. But yeah, Sutil was a t*t today.

Marshal in critical condition after crane incident

A marshal is in a critical condition in hospital after being run over by a crane returning Esteban Gutierrez's Sauber after the Canadian Grand Prix.

Gutierrez's car was being returned to the pits after the race following has accident at Turn 2 when the incident happened at the pit lane exit. Dr Jacques Bouchard - chief medical officer of the Canadian GP - told the Montreal Gazette that the marshal tripped in front of the crane and was run over by one of the wheels.

"A giant wheel went over his body, so there are fractures," Bouchard said. "That's what we know for now. Was there damage to the lungs? We don't think so. Was there damage to the brain? We don't think so."

The marshal was treated at the circuit's medical centre before being transported by air ambulance to the Sacre-Couer Hospital in Montreal.

Oh that is dreadful! I do hope he's ok!!

I bet it did not happen quickly either.

I meant sutil was unlucky because even with a spin, damaged car and a drive through he still came home in the top 10.

It wasn't the most exciting Canadian Grand Prix I've ever seen but I enjoyed the race, Massa was really on it today, di Resta, Pirelli should add him to their payroll, best advert for Pirelli in some years, 57 laps on a set of prime tyres and still setting times within a second of the fastest times. Very solid performance from Jean Eric Vergne, making a case to be Mark Webber's replacement? Sutil holding up Hamilton, wouldn't have made a difference I believe Alonso had the measure of Hamilton in this race, if Sutil allowed Hamilton sooner, it would have delayed him being passed, but not prevent it. Driver of the race for me was di Resta, coming from 17th to seventh with a mega stint of 57 laps on primes, top drive for Force India.
