So the box of wine I'd half done. Lots of pictures guys I'm going to try and pay some of them tonight.

What are you paying for? Pictures? Tonight? With whom? Hotties? :hehe:

Yes. What's going on here WB. Are you drunk?

 perhaps a little but that was beyond comprehension! I'll just blame it on the fact that I was posting from my phone.

Just don't leave any debts unpaid.

I'm thinking, if Mercedes has really gained something significant during the tests...would it be worth it for them to sacrifice a good result in Canada to help their case on Wednesday?

Let's say they pull their cars into the pits much before the others just to help their case on Wednesday, i.e. sacrificing a race weekend to ensure they might get off lightly and then use their advantage for the rest of the season...instead of showing a transformed car in Canada which might play into the prosecutors hands.

I just woke up...so if this post sounds stupid, I apologize.

Possibly, but then the FIA would be able to demand tyre data from both Mercedes and Pirelli for the races before and after the test to make comparisons (obviously, this would not be the only thing to base a decision on as you have differences in track layout, surfaces, car setups, weather conditions etc.) but they'd probably be able to see that a team was faking wear issues.

Rereading it again now, I admit it was a post I shouldn't have 'submitted'.

I don't think a major factor will be advantage gained, more like if they broke the rules and why and how they acted in relation to breaking the rules. the confidence is probably also political as it is an argument they wanted to comply with the rules

The whole system needs to be reviewed. Pirelli aren't even being given a chance.

So apparently next year, there might be 4 testing sessions, to give the tyre manufacturer a chance

They say the date of the Tribunal now is on the 20th.

So what do Mercedes do? Continue working their a**e off until 20th and then potentially face penalty which could put all their work done over the next 10 days to complete waste? Let's say if they get thrown out of the Championship....jeez can't they get it over with. I thought we'd be done with this by Wednesday.

It's been the 20th for ages hasn't it? It was definitely the 20th yesterday as they were talking about it on Sky.

They believe they are innocent, so they have too keep going as if they are going to be found innocent. Their is no other option.

If the reported "gentleman's agreement" purported by Sport Bild to have been signed by the team bosses, including Brawn, is true (I think it is fair to have at least some skepticism here) then it would be bad for Mercedes and very bad for Ross - someone I have a great deal of respect for.

Todt moving to replace Whiting with Ascanelli - rumour

According to Auto Motor und Sport rumours, Charlie Whiting told Brawn the highly controversial Barcelona test would be in compliance

While the FIA readies to analyse a possible breach of the official rules, Germany's Sport Bild claims Mercedes also broke an explicit gentleman's agreement between the teams when it ran its 'secret' test in May.

The magazine published a copy of the signed 'Testing Agreement 2013', featuring the signature of every team boss, including the under-fire Ross Brawn.

The document shows that F1's eleven teams agreed that in the event Pirelli wanted to run development testing for 2014, any test would have to be jointly approved by the testing committee - the teams - and the FIA.

"The document raises massive questions about Mercedes' credibility," said Sport Bild.

And according to another German publication, Brawn's job might not be the only one in doubt over the 'test-gate' affair.

Auto Motor und Sport reports rumours that FIA president Jean Todt is moving to replace race director Charlie Whiting - who supposedly told Brawn the highly controversial Barcelona test would be in compliance - with Giorgio Ascanelli.

Italian Ascanelli is a highly experienced F1 engineer who most recently was Toro Rosso's technical director.

But a paddock voice said: "That (replacing Whiting) would be the most stupid thing Todt could do.

"Charlie has the most difficult job in the world, and he does it well."

Meanwhile, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner made clear that although the FIA will also have Pirelli in the dock on June 20, its real gripe is with Mercedes.

"Our issue is nothing to do with Pirelli," he is quoted by the Mirror. "It is about a current entrant breaking the rules by using a current car."

Why would a signature be required for "gentleman's" agreement? If there's a signature, it becomes more of a contract no? That being said, that's not an official FiA agreement or a rule or am I missing something?

If Mercedes broke a rule, let them be punished, but in any tribunal, Charlie's "okay" to go ahead with the 2013 test car is a sufficient get out of jail card for Mercedes. If they still need to come after Mercedes simply to hold them to some type of accountability, then there has to be an even bigger sanction or punishment placed against the FiA itself for okaying the test in the first place.

Horner is understandably butt hurt, but he's barking loudest against the team that he's most afraid of long term.

I hope to god not, they broke a contract they signed, they broke sporting regulations and sporting laws, this should be punishable. In the UK if someone wants to die and they told me it's ok if I kill them it's still illegal; and it's the same principle here. They broke the rules and they should be punished.
