I woke up at 3 to watch it, and was still hungover from a few hours before, but the excitment of the race seemed to cure it!!!

From the Jones stand overlooking turn one. Arrived at 7am to do the pit walk, and left around 10pm after the KISS concert. 15 excellent, unforgetable hours in temperatures up to 38 degrees.
And we're going to lose the GP because some people on the other side of the planet don't want to get out of bed early. :?:

Not true! It adds another dimension to the race getting up early- makes it special. Blame Bernie!! He's after Silverstone too.
I hope you keep the GP!

On the couch too, brought the duvet down and TBH I fell asleep in the middle of the race for about 10laps and then woke but missed the final 2 laps of the race..... :roll::P

What a loser! :lol::mrgreen::mrgreen:

I'm dissapointed in myself. :cry::wink::P

I like the time of the Australia GP for the first race, getting beer, food and movies in and doing a bit of racing on the PS while waiting for the race to kick off is much better than struggling out of bed sunday lunchtime to watch the race with a hangover. I'm all for having a night race but not for the season opener.

Well, you've got a second chance to do better this weekend :P
I want an HONEST full report on this one - you're moderator privileges are at stake - surely we can't have such a feeble moderator, now can we? :shock:8):mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

See the mistake you made is to WAKE up for the race, rather than STAY up for the race. Rookie error really...

I always find it much easier to stay awake than to wake up, so my early morning race routine involves copies of F1 Racing and Autosport, a beer or two, some coffee and maybe a DVD so I have lots to keep me awake while I'm waiting, but usually I find that when it's the first race of the season I've got such bad F1 withdrawal symptoms I can't sleep anyway.

If i stayed up Id fall asleep and miss it. If I get up(ive only just woken up)so im more likelt to stay awake. Must admit the withdrawl symptoms do make sleeping difficult...that and checking every half hour to make sure the alarm is still working
