Yes they have. They've produced a tyre to replicate that race in Canada 2010 when Michelin got the spec wrong and the front runners had to come in early, and that's what they were asked to replicate. The thing is that was random and unexpected and from a mistake in calculations. What we have currently is contrived, people don't like It and also there problems. Problems of delamination and safety.
So yes Pirelli have done what the FIA asked, but now the FIA don't like the criticism. manipulation of races and cars driving slow is bad for the spor and fans dont like it.
They haven't signed a contract with Pirelli for next year and are trying to pay them less than the agreed amount.
