And where are Benetton in F1 these days?
In fact, where is Benetton as a company these days?

Mercedes Benz and Ferrari will still be here long after Red Bull have gone. Energy drinks....ffs.

What a load of old p1sh it all is. AN is the man behind Red Bulls success. The rest are all freeloading on his back.

I imagine selecting Red Bull, who don't seem to have a clear advantage at present, could cause even more issues considering the title fight is generally believed to be between them and Ferrari. Horner (and indeed, every other team principal) does have every right to complain, though, as 1,000km is a fair bit of distance when it comes to testing and could have allowed Mercedes to evaluate new components in preparation for the coming races. If Pirelli wanted to do tyre testing, it would have been better to ask the FIA if they could arrange a day or two post-Barcelona for all teams to participate in, negating any possible unfair advantages.

It looks like Merc are going to see the benefit from this then.

If they were the worst at handing Pirelli tyres, then they could have turned the corner.
Why did Pirelli help Mercedes Benz and not Red Bull??

I think we all know the answer to that one. :hehe:

Cos Mercedes were the worst with the tyres

Benetton as a company are doing very nicely as it is. 6,500 stores in 120 countries and a total turnover of over 2 billion euros.

Point is, it's irrelevant how an F1 teams makes their money. What matters is what they do on track. By your logic, Caterham (who make kit cars and have yet to score a single point in F1) carry more weight in the F1 world than Red Bull Racing (who make energy drinks and have won quite a few races and are the team that everyone is chasing).
