More like the Mercedes Master. :whip:

Lewis Hamilton = 50 points
Nico Rosberg = 22 points

Staunch logic as usual by "andrew".

On what basis does Rosberg have the "Mercedes master" title then? Your own logic? The only Master(s) there right now is Brawn or Wolff.

Rosberg has had two retirements out of five races, Hamilton has finished all five, wasn't that the reasoning many of you LH fans used for Lewis not winning titles or beating team mates?

True. But in the end its the stats that matter, not what-ifs. Isn't that what you Button fans used for Button countless times in 2011?

But by all means, do add up the "what if" points and give me the new standing...if it warrants Nico being "Mercedes master" I humbly apologize.

All that history will record is the points actually earned, all sides will use what-if's, what if Hitler got into art college? would he have started WW2? Just having some fun with ya! :hehe:

I didn't mention points.

You mentioned them plenty in the Mclaren 2011 season, but I get it consistency is not much fun.

I think the what ifs to worry about are the ones where Perez is ahead of Button.

Button needs to quit complaining and just get on with it. He looks depressed. :(

And that has what to do with Mercedes?

But it does seem an appropriate thread to talk about Nico and Lewis. Lewisnis ahead on points but Nico has been doing the better job. My theory was that Lewis hasn't yet mastered as well as Nico how the Mercedes works on these tyres. Also he's not as good as Nico at driving to a slow pace. They got front row lock out at Spain by driving slow in sector one and saving the tyres for sector three. But I think Lewis hasn't judged right how much to slow down, and it's alien to him as well. I still think Lewis is the fastest and these slow tyres are hurting him more.

Today Ive read that Lewis has been struggling all year with this car and has no confidence under breaking ( an area he needs confidence because he's a late breaker, it's where he gets his advantage). He says he is very pleased he got on the front row yesterday as he has never felt so bad at a track he loves. He concludes . IT'S HIS FAULT! HE'S NOT DOING WELL ENOUGH! That's part of the reason I support him and will continue to do so. No winging, no whining, no blaming the world. 'I wasn't good enough'.

I think Lewis and Mercedes will sort this. It's a good year to sort it out because with these tyres the championship isn't a realistic goal. In the meantime I'm loving watching Nico. No issues with Nico at all.
