The veteran Scot told a news conference in the Australian city that his first stop-off after the 20-hour flight from Europe was to buy 40 pairs of smalls that can only be found Down Under.

"I've got a bit of Australia wrapped around my nether regions when I do all my Grand Prix," said the 36-year-old Red Bull driver, revealing that he always wears 'Holeproof Underdaks'
Coulthard added: "I always go and stock up at the beginning of every season and buy my underdaks for the season ahead."

What is it with F1 drivers and their undies???

I've never even heard of Underdaks before :shock:

For those of you who don't remember FM's underwear...he creditted his win at Interlagos 2006 to wearing the same pair of underpants for three days in a row - from Friday practice through to the actual race-win and is apparently something of a regular occurence for him if his race-weekend is going well...

Holeproof? What the heck? Is DC that much skidding around in his F1 seat during a race that he needs to worry about putting holes in his underwear?
Or maybe he's worried about his cubehead in his arse that might rip his undies? :lol:

Actually DC has previous for undie-related superstition. In the junior formulas he had a lucky pair of underwear which he wore every time he raced, to the point where the lucky set had so many holes in it had to be worn over other underwear. This was only discovered when he had a nasty crash and had to have his overalls cut off of him, with his mother watching...
