FA is my favourite driver, he drove a good race

I don't like him much when he's complaining about something and wish he'd get his head down and do his job but he drove a pretty good race considering the car which must be frustrating for him.

With a non spectacular car (the speed limit of the Renaul today had been lower than Toro Rosso, BMW, Williams...) he had given a lesson to another drivers and to the spectators.

He could be in a bad condition (personaly or in a bad car) but he'll always be there. It can be one of the reasons why you dislike Alonso

I think that nowadays he's the best driver of the F1.

Alonso drove one heck of a race, he drove with WDC skill and knowledge.

I'm compelled to ask you though as to why FA is your favorite driver? Explain to everyone why his ruthless, egotistical, self and team depricating action's in '07 should be supported? Morality and self respect, which about 99.99% of the worldwide populous hold in very high regard, is not one of his trait's.

Maybe not but he kicked up more dust and got sideway's more than any other driver who finished the race. Alonso has proven his prowess with 2 WDC's but as the commentary stated his reputation has been permantley damaged, who the heck want's a 'CHEAT' on their team??

I have never doubted Alonso's skill because that has been proven but since now F1 is more a business and about sponsorship he will, imho, continue to slowly fade away.

hes a good driver who always wants to win, i like that hes a character, and trys ever gp

he was sideways alot, but saved it every time, with that car he had to push it to the limit

So you support a 'BLATANTLY CAUGHT REDHANDED CHEATER' just because he has 'driving skill's? If Senna, Prost, Piquet, Mansell, Schumacher or anyone other WDC driver had been caught such as Alonso was my support for them would cease to exist. I hold personal moral's in very high regard in F1, as in life, and have been very letdown by Fernando.

If you paid attention to the commentary during the race you would have heard Hobb's, Varsha and Matchett agreed that Alonso's reputation has been permanently tarnished in F1.

Uhhh ohhh mmm hold on I gotta wipe the tear's from my eye's!!! WHATEVER !!! One thing new member's such as you do not realize is some of the member's you are TRYING to feeding 'crap' to have been watching F1 for 25+yr's and have seen and heard it all ok!

The ONLY reference you have is what you have witnessed with the last 1 MAYBE 2 season's. How about actually watching the car or team's car you support and studying it's handling, braking and acceleration out of the corner's and the tire wear and then make an opinion?

Support the team or team's you like but dont blatantly ramble off idea's and opinion's without atleast a decent and well informed retort.

For some reason I think if FA drove for Ferrari you would have an entirely different view towards him Tex.

I dont see much difference between Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher, really the only main difference is FA got caught red handed.

texasmr2, there are examples like Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Honda, McLaren... which were proved that they were cheating, and nothing of the previous examples had had the same bad reputation as Alonso has nowadays in certain media or in certain supporters.

I think that there are some people who had crucify Alonso (I'm not saying neither that this isn't bad nor you're one of these people), and doesn't mind the Schumacher, Hamilton or Honda cheats.


P.S: Takuma Sato is a cheating too
