DD I thought you'd be more interested in talking about the excellent performance of BMW rather than defending Ferrari....again...yawn...

I'm not sure about BMW's performance - it's too early and the Aussie GP has traditionally been a one-off race for most teams. The quali promised a lot after the sandbagging winter season. However, during the race BMW didn't live up to that new promise - they were not on race pace with McLaren.

I thought they did well. Kubica didnt live up but heidfeld was really solid.

I said BMW didn't live up to that new promise (RK) and they were not on race pace with McLaren (NH). Solid is not good enough anymore, especially for an ambitious man like Mario Theissen.

I was so stoked on Robert's qualifying lap for pole but oh well. I think their result's were due to their seperate race strategy's as far as fuel load and tire's? Unfortunately I forgot to record the race so I cannot remember what tire's each of them started on and had no an indication of their fuel load's.

Overall I am very happy for the team and especially Nick. I would also like to add that Nico's performance was tremendous, he stayed out of trouble and kept his head together. Nico imho is WDC material but not for another few year's.

We all know I'm a Ferrari fan but I cam honestly say I am very satisfied with the result's, other than Bourdais's retirement, and they were well deserved. VIVA LA F1!!!!!

According to BBC Sports Massa had an engine failure.

The BBC and all of us get spoon-fed what Ferrari only wants you to know. Do you think the McLaren built ECU's played a part the DNF's of FM and KR.

Are you really that naive to think that it is ONLY Ferrari?

No.

I think Massa didn't do this intentionally. First of all because he is a competitive driver, who always tries to win or to do his best and secondly because it could be a "bad sign" for Ferrari, about the reliably of the car.

so I cannot remember what tire's each of them started on and had no an indication of their fuel load's.

the top 3 started on the hard tyre while Felipe started on the soft
as for fuel loads Kubica was lightest coming in first Heikki Q lap was very impressive considering he pitted alot later than the other front runner and i see no ones mentioned how well Heikki did this weekend this whole weekend, if not for the safety car at the end he would have been on the podium.

It amazes me how easy these cars are to drive, these kids can come into the sport and with relatively little experience they are winning races/getting podiums... :?

You're kidding about the cars right? The current crop of cars are easier to drive than the turbos of the '80's but they still aren't easy.
Rather than the cars being easy to drive, maybe these "kids" are more talented than what has been coming into F1 recently. There is also the fact that young talented drivers don't have to spend years in backmarker teams before being promoted to a top flight team. I think this factor is key in very quick development of young talent. Get these fast young drivers in fast, reliable cars run by well funded, experienced, professional teams and they will thrive.
As for Massa, I have my doubts that his engine failure was planned.

One race into the season, and here we go again: the wildest conspiracy theories about Ferrari are already flying high!

:lol: and you dont support Ferrari

I was thinking this the moment Massa stopped and said to myself, "Massa you idiot why didn't you just stop in a more dangerous place so the safety car can come out". I guess we all know how natural my mind is good at this kind of game. *LOL*. I am sure others at Ferrari think alike so therefore the fact that Massa did not stop in a dangerous place means this conspiracy theory is not real.

Of course Massa's failure wasn't planned. Ferrari screwed up, it's as simple as that. I can't believe the Ferrari fans are already trying to start making excuses.
Regarding the cars they were easy to drive back in the days of TC and other driver aids. Now with all that gone these it will sort the men from the boys
#35972
Oh well if the loss of TC clearly starts not favouring Ferrari from the next few races onwards and infact it favours McLaren, I'm sure the big bosses Mosely and Ecclestone along with the rest of the FIA and Ferrari will bring back TC. Afterall they cannot allow anything or any change that favours Ron Dennis' McLaren team continue to go on now can they? :D If it did infact happen like that I wouldn't mind of course.
