I found this lovely pigeon that can't fly, I've put him in this cage and fed him but he wants to get out. Do yo think he'll be ok till the morning when I can phone a vets?

The nicest thing to do would be to chuck him in a pot with some stock and root veg....

Not really. Dont eat much red meat. But this bird is my friend now. If I had to kill the animal I'd be vegetarian. That's very hypercritical I know.

Sh*t that reminds me of the time during primary school when my dog attacked a sparrow and I pulled my dog away....and tried nursing it back to health in an empty fish aquarium with some water and bread...and the next morning it died. Didn't like my dog for a couple of days after. Hope your pigeon fares better!

I'll let you know how he fares. It's horrible when animals are hurt because they don't understand. He hates it in that cage but if I let him out a cat or fox will get him.

The cat I don't care about because it can go home to eat. The fox on the other hand has a litter of cute cubs that need mom to be well fed so they can drink.
