It's your business if you're breathing in their 2nd hand smoke or if you're stuck on a hospital waiting list behind someone who chose to take up smoking in an age when all the health implications are known to everyone.

I'll drink to that one (water of course, alcohol is bad for you)

So Andrew, you're a good subject for this question what do you think about fat, unhealthy Doctors, Nurses, GP's... etc?

What's wrong with that? They have the knowledge and the education on the best interests of a human body, but as an individual they can choose how to live their own life right? It depends on their clients/patients on taking their advise or not. If someone doesn't want a fat doctors advise, just don't go to him...it's a free world.

Fat chefs cook better. :D

Richard Griffiths in Pie In the Sky :cloud9:

Aww bless that dear man, his funeral was a couple of days ago. Seems the Margaret Thatcher thread was more active however...

I have this motherf**ker in my class who I thought was a good friend of mine...the story so far is this girl and I are sorta unofficially together, and the both of us and this guy hung out last Saturday, since they were acquaintances and he had tried to ask her out a few times earlier this year but she declined due to workload/etc. So she invited him to have lunch with us last Saturday. And today, I learned that he had been texting her the whole day and asking her out, AFTER knowing that I am in the frame! She texts me today telling me that he's been asking her to join him for dinner and I should come too (in other words, too polite to tell him directly to f**k off)....and this mofo was sitting just 4 feet away from me, I felt like throwing my phone at his head. Sucks to find out one of your friends is actually a backstabbing d!ckhead with no awareness of the bro-code. A$$wipe. I'm still thinking how to handle this situation.

Hey...this is the ranting thread right. :(

Tel him that she has an STD he will soon do a runner

Nope only joking as it will get back to her and she would not be impressed (personal experience)

Dodge STD
Subaru STD
Mercedes STD

it doesn't sound so bad as a car name.

An Escort STD doesn't sound so good.

I would prefer a Thrush SSC. For when your itching to go fast

I'd suggest prescribed skin cream. :P

Taking advantage of the Anzac Day Public holiday today, I slept in till 11:30am and then did a little bit of cleaning up after a mouse plague in my house. Found one mouse in a mouse trap, and hope that he doesn't have a family or else I'll be moving out of here.

As part of my cleanup, I decided to address a few issues with my computer.

Lately I have a massive glitch on Facebook where I scroll up and down in facebook and the chat bar and Facebook toolbar keep making copies of them selves, and I can hardly see what I'm doing. I've been hoping that it would get better, but it just keeps getting worse and worse. Also, whenever I go onto wikipedia I can't see what I'm typing in the search box, it just goes all black and fuzzy. That also happens when logging into this site, as well as internet banking, and basically any site that requires me to type information into a field. (Thankfully I am now a touch typer, so I don't even need to see what I'm typing).

I have been getting the blue screen of death lately. And also when I click on Google Chrome after starting up my computer, it takes several minutes before it opens up on my screen.

To add to my dismay, I realized that my anti-virus (avast! free antivirus) had stopped working, and I realised it had been that way for many weeks. So I reinstalled avast today, and then doing a scan most of the day, I found that at least 8 files were corrupted on my computer.

Still, when I opened up Google Chrome, I was having the same issues. So I decided to do something that I hadn't done in a few years: open Internet Explorer. To my surprise, I had no issues in using ie, so I decided to uninstall Google Chrome for good. I am still finding IE quite clunky. Does anyone else have a web browser that they like to use? In the past I have also found Firefox to be quite clunky and slow, so I don't want to go there again, unless someone can convince me otherwise....

I'm also finally uninstalling all the programs I don't use anymore... Quite an all-day project...

Big Azza, that is the calmest rant I have seen in this thread! :hehe:

I still use Firefox. Mainly out of habit I suppose. Not really tried anything else.

Sorry, I seem to have been no use to you.

That's okay. Nice of you to reply and make me feel heard.

I would rant passionately about how people keep leaving flyers under my windscreen wipers, but I did that already in the wrong thread. So, now it's just my usual cool head. It takes a lot to get me worked up. Whenever people say something to offend me I just laugh and think it's funny. For example, the other day one of my clients said to me that I should go to "Overeaters Anonymous." Seemed everyone else in the office took more offence to it than I did! :hehe:

I'm gonna be trying other browsers too, got chrome but never really used it. I'm not sure if it's my comp, connection or browser but some sites, particulary things like news sites with all the ads and popups cause everything to grind to a halt.
