Button will win this. Easily.

If he does, the traditional celebratory post race team picture won't have them wearing the rocket red tees.... Mclaren didn't pack them this weekend cause they figured they had no chance in hell of winning.

I'm sure some of the locals could provide that service and leave Button free to slide around the track searching for grip whilst counting his money, admiring his dandruff free hair and enjoying a glass of milk. :hehe:

Yep Di Resta's strongest performance in quite a while. Would love to see the Force India folks do well tomorrow, and make up for the disastrous Sepang pit-stops!

The Force Indias and Hulks Sauber will be disappointed if they dont get points, McLaren will be surprised if they do

Di Resta looks like he has a point to prove, I hope he and Sutil have no issues as they are the second Merc team now especially when Mclaren get their spanking new untried Hondas

Hulk for points? Doubt it in this race. Have to pass both McLaren's, Ricciardo and not to mention Grosjean. Button will be lucky to get a point. Hulk would be incredibly lucky.

The Force India's have the highest top end speed and win all the speed traps during practice and qualli, so it looks like if they get DRS at any stage they'll fly past the competitor.

Looks like they'll be hard to pass on the straights too. Caterham + upgrades is half a second off Williams in quali, will be interesting to see Pic's pace this race.

I'm not going to see the race live as we have a long distance family trip.

Anyhow, it looks like it'll be a good race, probably between Vettel and Alonso for the win. I predict that Vettel will keep ahead of Alonso at the start, but get taken through one set of pitstops. Rosberg will feature in the first stint, but be passed at the first stop (or on track beforehand) and then fade.

Ross Brawn believes the gearbox penalty regulations should be revisited after Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton received a five-place penalty in Bahrain following damage from a tyre failure.

Pirelli suspects debris caused the tread to come away from the canvas of his left-rear, and the force of the tyre disintegrating resulted in suspension failure and damage to the car's gearbox. Mercedes had to rebuild the rear of his car ahead of qualifying and in the process of changing the gearbox incurred a five-place grid penalty.

Brawn said Hamilton had been unhappy about the penalty, which was essentially out of the team's control, but admitted it was difficult to rewrite the regulations to cover all eventualities.

"I think Lewis would agree with you because an external influence has resulted in a penalty," Brawn said when asked if the penalty seemed unfair. "I think the difficulty we have in the future is when you have marginal cases - in this case it wasn't - and you don't know whether it was something aggravated by the driver. Perhaps if it isn't a gearbox failure as such, but the problem occurs and maybe it was partially caused by the driver. Then we get into these long debates about the percentage.

"But it's certainly worthy of looking at. It is frustrating to get a penalty when there has been an outside influence. Luckily it doesn't happen too often but if it happens at a critical time in the championship it will be doubly frustrating. It's probably worth looking at again."

I found some qoutes too

Hamilton: "If we could go flat out all the way then overtaking wouldn't be a problem. But we have to go at 80% on these tyres"
Jenson Button: "To get a fifth like the last race is going to be very tricky for us"
Webber on 200th start: "You would never envisage racing at this level in Formula One for so long but the passion continues"
Alonso: "I don't see any reason not to think about the podium and the victory today ... everything is ready"

He only complains now after the 5 place penalty being in force since 2009.

I couldnt agree more!! that gearbox diddnt fail, debris on the track caused the problem. You dont get a penalty if you cahnge your nose because of debris on the track. Another stupid rule!!

well done to Mercedes for the quick rebuild.

It's a stupid rule which should've been abolished years back.
