Lol at Button shouting for joy over the radio for getting into Q3.

BACK TO BACK POLES FOR MERCEDES! Nico DOMINANT, hopes of a 3rd straight podium still there!:clap:

That was pretty entertaining from Button's radio :P

Impressive qualifying from the Mercedes cars, I didn't expect that sort of pace from either of them. Congratulations to Rosberg however they lack pace in sector two which will be an issue on the first lap.

Unimpressed by the Lotus cars, lacking the speed that I expected. They can't get under 1;33.3 :/

Looking good for the Ferrari's, both in for a good shot at winning especially interesting having Massa start P4 on hards.

Watch out for Force India in the race, they have a decent top end speed so in DRS they can blast past people.

Boullier was expecting a fight between Alonso, Kimi and Vettel...shows how much even team bosses know. :P

Unfortunately, you're quite right there. Ferrari have at least an equal car to Redbull, so Alonso to win out easily this time. Lotus just doesn't have the consistency of Redbull and Ferrari.

Great stuff from Nico, he really deserves it. Could be that knowing Lewis had a 5 grid drop helped him avoid the small mistakes he sometimes makes when it comes to the crunch winner takes all lap.
Hope he can challenge through the race for a win.
I wonder if Lewis' car wasnt setup for the race, after the penalty RB is the man at coming up with silver linings in a cloud.

haha Button whooping at making q3, welcome to 2013 baby! And Sergio was only a couple tenths behind, less than the thrashings button received from Lewis in quali so the kid is doing well and will get better.

Did you mean to say "wasn't setup" I thought his car WAS setup for the race thus lacking the pace in Qualli as compared to his teammate. I hope Rosberg wins or they finish next to eachother ie: Rosberg P3 and Hamilton P4 with Lewis having to let Rosberg get the P3. Just to... make it even.

The Ferrari's are right next to eachother on different strategies with great long run pace... Rosberg and Vettel will have to push like crazy to get away.

As for Perez, I agree and you've also got to take into account he definately will still be getting used to the new car/team so only a couple of tenths is fine. It's when you have situations like in Q2 with Kimi doing times 0.6xx faster than Grosjean but to be fair to Gro the two laps he messed up were both at difficult corners.

Turn 1 we could see some serious lockups on the first lap and a high chance of some crashes.
Turn 4 we could see the backend stepping out a few times.
Turn 6/7 we could see a fair few going in too fast and going over the run off.
If you do turn 6/7 perfectly you could have too much confidence just like Grosjean did and break too late or lockup into turn 8.
We are bound to see a lot of lockups into turn 10 as it's a tricky corner to get right.
Drivers with DRS coming out of turn 10 might run wide into turn 11.
A lot of time can be made up in turn 13, need to stay close, there is really no point overtaking on the straight after turn 13.
Turn 14 is easy to run wide on, also if you take it too tight there is quite a curb which could definitely damage your front wing or floor.
Get a nice tow out of 14/15 get the DRS and blast past and you've got a decent chance to hold it.

I'm a bit confused, he's said it's good that the MPs can get their names known which is good for everybody but then said it's stupid because it gives the opposition a platform, and that F1 isn't there to get involved in the politics. There seem to be a few contradictions.

He's saying its good in that opposition MP's can get their names known where previously they may not have had such an opportunity, however, the downside is the risk of more political protests. As we have seen previously, the protests in Bahrain have often ended in violence and deaths so to his end it is stupid for the Bahraini Government to host the GP.

Button will win this. Easily.

I did see McLaren mounting a minigun on the nose of his McLaren... clearly that is the only way that Button will win in Bahrain!

He'll lap everyone 6 times. The McLaren is mighty. As everyone is pointing out.
