Force India looked pretty strong in Msia. They might have another good one in Shanghai...let's see if they can get the better of McLaren this time.

ESPNF1;The Shanghai International Circuit will feature two DRS zones at this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix with the addition of a new zone on the pit straight as well as one on the long back straight.

In previous years the circuit has featured just one zone along the kilometre-long straight between turns 13 and 14, but this year the FIA is keen to have two zones at most circuits. Both zones in Shanghai will have individual detection points, with the first one located midway through turn 12 and the second one just ahead of the final corner.

The first zone is the longer of the two at 752 metres and will likely see more overtaking ahead of the heavy braking zone for the hairpin at turn 14.

This has pretty much thrown defensive skills of a driver out the window. I thought DRS is supposed to aid overtaking, not ENSURE it?

Won't it make more sense to just have 1 DRS zone on the pit straight...since the back straight is already a great overtaking place? :banghead:

Hope it's gonna be hot

Redbull kill their tyres and lotus take the win

I hope not, it'll bloody ruin force India again.

Does sun dance :wavey::P:thumbup::clap:

How can you not support Jordo... Force India?

Yeah Shanghai does not need 2 DRS zones at all. Why the long, back straight? That's an example of a stretch of track that DOESN'T need it.

2 back to back DRS zones is completely ridiculous. A will pass B at DRS 1 and then B will pass A at DRS 2 again and voila! "racing" :rolleyes: It'll be just like watching the abu dhabi grand prix. The same sh1t happened there repeatedly with 2 DRS zones. $#@!ing waste

Oooh. Worst case scenario....... who is their reserve driver? I thought it was Anthony Davidson, although he might just be their Simulator driver - and anyway he is at Silverstone this weekend racing in the World Endurance championship.

So their other test drivers are Sam Bird and Brendon Hartley...... :scratchchin:

He's seeing a doctor tonight and Mercedes said he'll be testing Friday. But allergies can make you feel crap.
