Now, should we explain this to rc and if so, how? :P:hehe:

Simple, it's what makes the Internet GO! And I am now using the Internet with GO FASTER STRIPES :D

Just ran a speed test and I am getting 8Mbps extra download and upload speed has gone from about 8Mbps to over 20Mbps... :yikes:

My car has GO FASTER STRIPES, :D . I did wonder about the surf board, I was skimming over all the jargon and numbers and wirey words, and 'surf board' jumped out a me. I did briefly think Whoo DD surfs! Then I thought nah, it'll just be wires .

Today I realised that going from a four-man team to a three-man team creates more extra work for each person than I originally thought. :(

Now I'm not sure I'll be able to get much sleep. Interview at 8:30am and I'm crazy nervous. :/

All the best for that mate.

Today I kept reminding myself that it'll soon be 5pm Friday.

Aww, don't wish your life away!

Just go to that interview with the mindset that they want you more than you want them. It's all about attitude.

Thanks all. :)

The school is a little bigger than I thought, but still much smaller than the one I'm currently at. Met the headteacher and a couple of the deputies, got a brief overview of the technology in place, had a full guided tour by the head boy and head girl, then the interview which was the shortest part of the day. An hour and a half later, I've been offered and have accepted the job, even though I accidentally talked over one guy and rambled a bit...

About £2500 to start with, potentially rising by another £2000 as time goes on. Mainly went for it because I can't stand where I am currently, it's way closer to home and there's a lot more time off. Plus, the school actually seems to give a crap about the kids there as opposed to making as much money as possible, so that's quite an attractive feature. Every class I went into today was calm and quiet, the students looked to be engaged, the staff were able to get on with their lessons etc. and it just generally seemed like a nice place to be. Hopefully it means no more dodging stools in science labs (something that I've become quite good at over the past few years!). :)

And that (a happy work environment, a place where you are happy to get up and go to every day), can never be compensated by money!

Well done Denthúl.

So far today...
- Just re-coded a searching function (quite a big job but I did it in under an hour)
- Flashed a new Kernel onto my tablet, with some new settings which essential underclocks my device by 25%, improves caching and scheduling, resulting in a 40% speed boost and a 20% battery boost, black magic software modding :P
- Finally, finalizing a complete re-write of our biggest program getting rid of loads of un-needed code, adding new code, improving code, making it do even more, even faster, even better.... yeah it gives me headaches typing all the code >_<
- Added some pretty little GUI's on one of the excel documents which trigger certain macros to do certain tasks, pretty impressive what they do for us.

Is it a Private school? Kids like that were certainly a rarity where I went.

Fantastic Dent! Sounds like a win win situation! Having a head teacher that actually does his job and creates an exciting learning environment is worth more than extra money, but you get the money as well  a shitfaced head that didn't care about the kids is why I left my last job.
