I'm sure almost all of us here aren't stupid enough to take anyone literally when they say alcohol is required to have a laugh, but it does add a different dimension to group gatherings. Like an added spice to something already good...and for situations like you just mentioned.
Anyway there's nothing wrong with not drinking, you can still have a laugh.
Very true. I find something sad in hearing someone say they have to drink to have a good time.
I have a slight disorder, maybe that should be in the creepy info topic, it's something most people have to some degree but in some it can be more extreme. It's nothing too bad but it can be taken the wrong way, medication never helped but alcohol at least gives temporary relief. It's not an excuse to drink and I don't drink all that often but in certain situations it definitely helps so I don't see that as sad at all.
