My wife rounds her 5' 1" and a half inch up to a generous 5' 2" so I know what you mean.

Is not just software, it's hardware too. My htc was much better for its time

Terrible durability
Dogey wifi
Buggy since 4.2.2

Kernel can be improved by custom ROM + Kernels, my tablet and phone nearly doubled in battery life, as for Wi-Fi there was a bug in 4.1 from the start only affecting certain routers at certain times it was made worse in 4.2, meant to of been fixed in 4.2.2 but it never was the devs over on the N4 have finally fixed it for good but it'll take time for other devices to get that fix.

I personally find HTC devices better than most of Samsungs so I don't disagree with you.

Today I discovered StartIsBack, which brings back the traditional Windows 7 start menu to Windows 8 users... five licences for $5... great value to save your sanity!

I'm pretty sure there was a free version made by someone else, I saw one a few weeks ago.
