I'm nearly the only person I know that doesn't an Apple or Android type phone. I'll be keeping it that way.

Why is that?

(again, its not a criticism on your choice, Im just very interested to see why people make this choice)

All I need a phone for is to make and receive calls and texts. I don't see the point of all these App's and gadgets that some folks seem to have. Someone somewhere is getting very rich off of people buying pointless things to keep up with their pals.

A guy I work with told me how his daughter bought a fancy new £300 phone only to find when she got home it couldn't pick up a signal in the sticks! His cheap basic phone works fine. Good isn't it?

google maps+gps=satnav, web browsing, amazon+barcode scanning, youtube/imdb/tv guide apps, wifi hotspot are things I've found pretty handy to have, even google sky+gps for setting up a telescope a couple of times so it's not all totally pointless.

What I have is perfectly adequate for my requirements.

google maps+gps=satnav, web browsing, amazon+barcode scanning, youtube/imdb/tv guide apps, wifi hotspot are things I've found pretty handy to have, even google sky+gps for setting up a telescope a couple of times so it's not all totally pointless.

I have no use for any of those on a phone. On a proper devices with a decent sized screen I do.

Each to their own but what I have serves my humble requirements perfectly well.

I mean who needs a Mortal Kombat app (all it comprises of is a button that says finish him when pressed) on their phone?

I'm sure you are . Oh well, I posted them on Facebook anyway! It's not my 'normal' style which is probably why I'm apprehensive. I don't think it's as leggy as some of my dresses though?

Err..that means I might be the same height as your door? Which I doubt...are the doors in your house smaller than usual?
