After months of waiting, the season is finally upon us. I went out and bought beer and pizza today, ready to watch the F1 on my 40 inch LCD this Sunday!

So how are you going to watch the first Grand Prix of 2008? Do you have any special rituals for a Grand Prix weekend, or the start of a new season?

make myself breakfast (apricot wheats)
get comfy on the sofa with my laptop and the live timing, (laptop also acts as a hot water bottle)
watch and enjoy
go back up to bed with the duvet

repeat for sunday!

cannot wait, i love that early morning and going to bed after!

Beer and pizza at 3:30am? What a man! :P

My plan is to stay up to watch the qualifying on Friday night. 02:15 through to 04:20, so I'll be getting some rather late sleep. But that's okay, because I can get up at about midday or beyond. That way, I'll only need an hour or two on Saturday night before going downstairs, making myself a nice cup of tea and a few slices of toast and just enjoying the race. Then, seeing as I have this weird inability to go to sleep during daylight hours (summer sucks for that!) I'll just, um...have more tea and spend the rest of the day writing :P

Phone and Alarm set.

Wake up
hurry downstairs
Get cornflakes
lie on the couch with my laptop for the live timing (Incredible how many times James Allen is wrong)
Turn on TV
Watch total Ferrari Domination!

This year i plan to indulge in a little ross brawn style race reading to work out team strategies during the race because i have no doubt that ITV coverage will be focused on whatever Lewis is doing

I'll be staying in a hotel in Sheffield on Saturday night as I'm going out with friends after the Norwich match, I'll probably either have a quick nap and get up to watch the race or just stay up. :)

This will be a much better way to watch the race than last year's season finale. I broke my arm the night before the race. I had to get an operation on the day of the race, even though on Anesthetic I woke up straight away asking where the TV was  Why do they make Visiting time right in the middle of the race?

So yeah, it will be great to be back home infront of the TV watching without any interuptions.

Stay up because I wont be able to sleep. Watch race. Get wrecked by playing the ITV F1 drinking game.

Everytime Louise interviews Jenson Button (build up or race)- down your drink
Everytime Anthony Hamilton is on the screen- take a drink
When Anthony Hamilton talks- down you drink

etc etc, you get the picture.

If you're lucky I might post the full thing up later

Please do. Though I imagine I'd be drunk well before it got as far as Brundle's Gridwalk :P

Set 3 alarms for just before the action actually starts (No time for ITV's crap, I have work both days), go to bed early, get woken up by alarms, walk across to computer and open up TV Tuner software. Fumble for remote, turn to ITV and press "Record", lay in bed and watch on my 22" HP Glossy monitor with headphones wearing Jenson Button shirt over pajamas. Remove shirt at end, go back to sleep for a few hours.

That's qualifying and race. It's not glamourous, but it must be this way nvertheless.

I made a drinking game thread a few months ago, perhaps we could start updating it with some of your additions. :D
