What would be more amazing is if it were true and Vettel still managed to win the race in a Toro Rosso!

He's done it in Monza some years ago

The Toro Rosso is nowhere near as good this season as it was back then... probably RB are slowing down STR so they don't get embarrassed!

It's better than when he was running 3rd in Fiji though.
Win? Unlikely, but given the right circumstances, a podium should not be out of the question.

You're dreaming mate.

The Toro Rosso was solidly in midfield that season, now they have only Caterham and Marussia behind them. And maybe Williams, if they can't sort their s**t out soon. If Vettel drives for TR in China, he'd be applauded for coming in the Top 10.

You're confusing years mate ;-)
Fiji '07 he was running 3rd, China '07 he was running 4th.
In 2007 Toro Rosso was about as much a backmarker team as they are now. Only with the STR3 halfway through '08 did they become a solid midfield team.

No that was in 2007. He busted up RedBull's chance of victory and Toro Rosso's chance of a podium...and I remember thinking, this guy is a goner. Then the very next race he comes 3rd or 4th...can't recall, but that was hugely impressive after his mother of muck-ups.

Was that the very same race in which Webber vomited in his helmet?

:vomit::yuck: Gross was that! I reckon he'd just been given a team order! :P

No, I have the years right. It was 2008 when they handsomely BEAT the real Redbull team. 2007, their car was pretty competitive in midfield especially through 2nd half of the season. No way can we compare that TR team to the one today...especially with the competition we have in midfield now. FYI we have a team like McLaren in the midfield now.
