Webber's already ignored team orders in the past (as pointed out by mnmracer in the Vettel thread). Next time Vettel should just punt Webber off and really give him something to complain about.

Joke or was it.........?

Then Webber would punt Vettel in the face post race... I'd happily pay to see that, not that I am advocating violence... ok, maybe a little!

Then Vettel would have to retaliate which wouldn't be a good idea seeing as they should be quits now. They'll have hugged and made up by the next race. Red Bull will give Webber a nice little bonus to make up or he'll be gifted a win once the championship is settled and he'll go on his merry way and continue his work of becoming the next Barrichello.

There is an assumption being made that Nico would automatically pass Lewis. If they were they would be allowed to fight for position, Lewis wouldn't let him by, he'd make it as difficult to pass as possible. So you're in your sponsor's home country and are on the cusp of the best result the team has had in a year, best team result ever, I can see why they'd want to not jeopardize that. Have one of the cars maybe both of them run out of gas or worse.

As a fan, I would have liked to have seen that firs tussle between Lewis and Nico, I would have also liked to have seen Red Bull let Webber fight for his lead.

But fans don't directly pay for the team's budget we just indirectly pay for their share of the profits.

Well, it is an assumption at this point because we can't see the outcome, but nico was on his bottom hard.

One drs straight, and it would have been over with.

Did you watch Nico get past Lewis TWICE....and Lewis got him back both times, so they did go side by side a couple of times, and THEN the call came in to stop them from jeopardizing the result. It's not like Nico didn't get any shot at it.

I'm clearly talking about when they were told to hold place, when nico was very much able to get past him, and could not.

Oh dear! :banghead: Nico was very much able to get past but could not because they had both been told to hold station, therefore no more overtaking, no more blocking, drs or no drs

As Hammer pointed out nicely, BEFORE Ross decided to call it off (in case they ran out of fuel duelling) they had already spent a few laps duelling, Nico overtaking Lewis, Lewis nailing him back on the second DRS.

Chances are if that had continued, Lewis would have sped up to continue doing the same drs1-drs2 tango

like Ross said 'Lewis could go faster also' (but might have run outta fuel, whcih would mean the team missed out on their biggest points haul since returning to F!)

Can't believe how much lotus went backwards in terms of the tyre wear. :-\

What do you think you are doing not bashing Vettel in the Malaysian GP thread?! At least stay on topic! :whip::hehe:

Back to your comment, could it be a sign that Lotus could struggle in hot conditions? Australia was relatively cool by comparison which looks like it could have helped Lotus.

Isn't it great how Mclaren groupies and Lewis fansboys can all come together and laugh at the discord at RBR? :hehe:

I'm becoming less of a Lewis fanboy and more of a Merc groupie as time goes by.

Lonely group though, although I suspect Cookinflat might be signed up as well.
