I keep changing my mind about Seb, reevaluating. Today he went down in my estimation. To do that to a team mate  poor show! And he knows it.

Dietrich Mateschitz should step in and over-rule Horner and give Seb a one race suspension to restore order within the team. When both drivers are told to dial their cars back and hold station, what Sebastian did affects the moral of at least half of the Redbull team.

It'll be a good moral boost for Vettel's side of the garage!

He's not getting it easy in the UK press either.

Did you hear the cheers from the grandstands when it was Lewis' turn for the interview? It was almost silence for Vettel and Webber. Damn I was proud of my countrymen during that time. :D

Button disobeys teamorders in Japan 2010: not much happens
Webber disobeys teamorders in Britain 2011: everyone supports Webber for disobeying teamorders
Webber disobeys teamorders in Abu Dhabi 2012: everyone slants Red Bull for giving teamorders
Webber disobeys teamorders in Brazil 2012: everyone slants Vettel for not starting faster

Vettel disobeys teamorders in Malaysia 2013: OMG, teamorders should always be followed!!!

The sad thing is, I am not even surprised anymore by this hypocritical bull :censored:

For there to be hypocrisy you have to have an apples to apples comparison. Not a single one of the comparisons you make up there are the same, are they? You're saying that all disobedience is to be weighted the same, and obviously attempting to pass someone for a mid points position or worse, making the attempt and failing, is the same as what we saw yesterday. Doesn't matter how many eyerolleys you put on the end.

What we saw yesterday was Vettel putting himself before the team. I'm okay with that, it's been done before. The other guy, didn't put himself before the team, and that's been done before too.

I will bide my time but I'll come back to this thread and see what's said when Webber is the faster guy and tries to get past Vettel. Hopefully for the lead. (although that may not happen soon) :D

The whole episode was a real life parody of the movie "Cars"....... and Sebastian Vettel just showed the world that he really isn't Lightening McQueen but is actually Chick Hicks.

In the end he has to live with himself.

Having pondered the possible outcomes the biggest issue now lies with the Red Bull team management. The whole world was shown yesterday that he considers himself "above the rules" within the team, something they need to fix regardless of his team mate. If they don't address that quickly then nobody will be his team mate, and nobody in the team will respect him.

There are hundreds of people in that team and many of them are very loyal to Mark Webber as he has been there since the Jaguar days. This episode will now drive a wedge through the team from Milton Keynes to Shanghai.

Button disobeys teamorders in Turkey 2010: not much happens

Team orders were banned in 2010 and Jenson didn't get the better of his faster team mate anyway

Button disobeys teamorders in Japan 2010: not much happens

I can't remember any teamorders, I remember Hamilton loosing 3rd gear and Jenson passing him

Webber disobeys teamorders in Britain 2011: everyone supports Webber for disobeying teamorders

I remember Red Bull giving Vettel Webbers front wing, I don't remember Webber being told to hold position and not challenge Vettel

Webber disobeys teamorders in Abu Dhabi 2012: everyone slants Red Bull for giving teamorders

don't remember anything about this race (I think I was drunk !)

Webber disobeys teamorders in Brazil 2012: everyone slants Vettel for not starting faster

Did Red Bull tell Webber not to pass Vettel at the start? I do remember Webber letting Vettel past during the race and being thanked by the team

Vettel disobeys teamorders in Malaysia 2013: OMG, teamorders should always be followed!!!

it's funny that all the Red Bull fans that were totally outraged by Ferraris actions in Germany 2010 think that Vettels actions yesterday were perfectly acceptable

As Horner said in an interview yesterday, Webber has a history of not complying with team orders.

There ain't any of this on one of your other haunts. In fact Vettel was pretty much being applauded from what I've seen.

Seriously?! It's hardly a national emergency is it? I've not seen any newspapers today seeing as I rarely buy one but he's lucky if he gets a mention beyond a quick weekend sports recap on the TV news. Our news is all about the problems caused by the huge amount of snow in some areas ansd some kid who made an iPhone App who is away to make a fortune and Cyprus being skint.
