Whatever the politics are, the fastest man should win in every occasion...

You seem to be missing a simple point, Webber COULD HAVE GONE FASTER but listened to his team and turned the engine down. Did you watch the interviews? Vettel on the other hand chose to backstab his team openly and satisfy his own ego, I'm not surprised one bit but just enjoying the drama. I like it when a driver I don't particularly like gets a tainted win. :hehe:

Vettel win - awesome.

To be honest I'm now looking at the emotional aspect to this. If Vettel needs Webber to pull over in the final race this year to help him get the championship, will he do it?

Webber has for 3 years supported Vettel's championship (ok, maybe just 2 years) and instead of letting Webber take the win just this once, to repay him for everything, Vettel does THIS.

He could have at least finished right behind Webber (a la Rosberg style) to prove his point that he could have won, and then Webber could have been singing a similar tune to Hamilton.

But no - it has to be done THIS way, and again Vettel shows his childish attitude, but yet I still support him and want him to win the championship this year.... But I don't want it to be done with cloud hanging over his championship.

How is Vettel being childish? It's a race and the point is to win. I would actually question why Red Bull were using team orders, especially to help the no. 2 driver, this early on in the season. Still, a win's a win.

The point is, Webber would most likely have won the race. Webber obeyed his team, turn the engine down, cruise home. Vettel was told the same thing, except he's a spoiled brat.

They weren't trying to help Webber. They asked both drivers to turn down the engines, and cruise home, in a comfortable 1, 2. Webber did as instructed. Vettel thought he was bigger than the team and its insignificant orders.

Even Vettel has now admitted he was wrong. Will you.....?

I tend to think that 2nd is just the first of the losers so I will not be seeing anything wrong with Vettel (or any other driver) stealing a win from their slower team mate. Ethically it was maybe not the correct thing to do but, to be fair, the guy's out to win a championship in a car that doesn't seem to enjoy such a clear advantage as in previous seasons so every point will be crucial.

I am not negative towards the drivers but to the teams, Vettel obviously felt something was played against him, Why save fuel and engines on both your driver since obviously at least one of them is capable to deliver pace until the end of the race. I am not saying what is right or wrong I just don't like teams playing safe on Sunday. I want to see racing till the flag.

Great counter argument. You've got me convinced.

Wait,so first driver finishes ahead is better,so why were people complaining about Ferrari favoring Alonso in Melbourne, nobody said Alonso could sit behind Massa all day

Then the team instruct him to hold station

Vettel owes Webber,Vettel only said it after because he hates losing like Malaysia 2012,he wanted to win but in a bad way

"I can't change it now, but hopefully there's a situation in the future where I can." Would Vettel hand Webber a victory back to make up for it if he gets the chance?

 Especially the ones who keep berating Ferrari and Alonso for demanding preferential treatment, but think Vettel did nothing wrong today. Ridiculous hypocrisy at work.

I'm sorry, but when was Webber slower than Vettel?

Alonso made a mistake, who's decision it was to stay out doesn't matter as it was the wrong one, 17 races to go though. Massa's pace wasn't great in the first half of the race, P5 not too bad though.

On Vettel - he was told to hold position and ignored the team. Got zero respect for him after that. Without Red Bull he would have won NOTHING, he is a spoilt brat and deserved nothing today, in fact the only regret I have with Alonso tapping him at T2 is that it didn't damage Vettels car. Feel sorry for Webber he was robbed!

At Mercedes the difference was clear, Rosberg wasn't happy at having to stay behind Hamilton but accepted it was a team decision. I know he argued for a bit but in the end he respected and accepted his teams decision. Would have him in my team over Vettel any day!

I want Alonso to win the WDC but if he doesn't, please anyone but Vettel!

Exactly Webber was owning Vettel, til Vettel shunned him and the team to win,if Vettel was stupid enough he could have what he did in Turkey 2010

Vettel's Shame Speech

"It has to be said that we respect each other and there's nothing in that regard that has to be fixed," Vettel said. "Obviously I owe him a proper explanation. I tried to give it in front of everyone and I will try again just face-to-face. We don't hate each other so I don't think there's anything to worry about going in to the next couple of races.

"I messed up today, I apologise for that but right now I want to say the truth. I wasn't aware of it otherwise I wouldn't take that much risk to pass someone I'm not supposed to pass at that moment. But obviously just before we got out on the podium I had a very quick word and it was quite a shock. It's not easy for me to admit but that's the truth so I want to stick to the truth."

Vettel even went as far as to admit that he wasn't proud with his victory as Webber should have been the man to win the race.

"I'm not really too worried or don't really care about the criticism that is coming now. I owe an explanation to Mark and to the team and that's it. Everyone else obviously has the right to have their own opinions but for sure it is not a victory that I'm very proud of because it should have been Mark's."

Easy to apologize after stealing something you can't return. He's following Schumacher's tracks nicely, to become one of the most successful and hated WDCs in history. :hehe:
