I've been out all day and got to watch qualifying just now. The Red Bull is set up with very little rear wing, if it rains, I think they're going to be toast.

Gotta think a bit about the pool, but Ferrari are looking strong, the car is very balanced. FI are clearly the best of the midfield right now, looking at the weather forecast for the circuit tomorrow around race time it looks like 90% chance of any precipitation, and 90% chance of significant precipitation.

They weren't so toast today when it rained...a second faster than anyone else!

That's because they're carrying no rear wing.

I won't be watching until later in the afternoon. I have my first autocross of the season, full day of automotive nirvana mañana. So don't post the results until I get back. :whistling:

First GP2 of the season, and we get THIS.....

http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/8583060/cecotto-forces-bird-off-track

No wonder we have bad constant crashes in F1 if this is the quality of driver coming through.....

That's shocking! :eek::nono:

It is a bit much. :hehe:

As much as I like Nico Rosberg, didn't he do something similarISH at Bahrain last year with Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso?

Massive difference, Rosberg was defending his position, the stewards didn't think there was anything wrong with his actions, neither did I. In this case, it was in Quali, Bird is obviously on a slow lap, Cocetto just cuts across and deliberately forces him off the track. Its like he wants a :censored: crash. Idiot.

Being in the tropics, Bernie should move the race time to a normal local time start. If not the teams should never bother with planning a dry race strategy!

Indeed. Given the risk of the race being rained off like it was in 2009, I'd much rather get up at 2/3am to watch a good race than at 8am to watch some precipitation and the cars sitting on the grid until someone decides it's time to give up. Same goes for all the others where the time has been moved on in this way.

F**k it's started raining heavily already with cars spinning off on their OUT laps!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Odds on for an SC rolling start. Which isn't a bad idea, considering the conditions. Assuming the race won't be cancelled. :banghead:
