Turns 13 through to 14 seemed to produce the odd good bit of action.

Merc were unlucky in Nico not getting points, he should have ended behind Lewis. And as the strongest pairing they have a great shout at the WCC this year. Nico can hang on tight to Lewis, and he has already proven that he is well capable, they should be too much for Seb+Webber and Alonso + Massa as Massa is likely to go into a slump soon induced by the constant bending over he will get. Kimi and Grosjean area big ask through the season.

And Malaysia is the home of Petrobas, I reckon the next race should see much better results

Yeah, pace-wise, I don't think Nico disappointed today at all. He's a driver I've always respected.

I am glad Nico has done well compared to Lewis as it shows the MSC was close to the pace for the past few years. I am happy thinking of that where as if Nico was 3 seconds off Lewis' pace it would of been a sad ending for the 7 time WDC career.

Fry leaving Mercedes amicably but will continue doing some consultancy work.
Leiws ranks the teams Ferrari, Lotus, Red Bull. Not yet being sure wher to place Mevedes. He doesn't think they'll be fighting for the championship thos year. but thinks there's more to come from the car.

:D no. If I'm rushing and don't check the iPad it just writes rubbish sometimes. Mind of its own. Feet might be a better option :hehe:

They're a second off the pace in FP2...expected them to be a bit closer. But Malaysia really highlights the weaknesses and strengths of a car, so if we get a dry qualifying it will be a great stage of the pecking order right now.

Yeah it wasn't a great practise. I think i heard Lewis was doing a long run, but I hoped they'd be nearer non the less.

I think last week has falsely and prematurely got your hopes up....

No. They've all said there's more in the car but I'm not expecting it every race. I was delighted last week but it won't just keep going up and up , I know that. But I still want it to! :P

They were focusing completely on race pace by their post practice comments, probably felt last weekend too much focus was put on grid slot.

By Kimi's comments "I could've gone faster" it's clear to me Lotus was definitely running lighter than Merc and probably a few others.

Good to see this actually. Never rated him, since those failed BAR days...I wish they got rid of him sooner.

Yeah... about 'seeing' no one picked Kimi FTW las week did they? It's not about raw speed at the moment that's for sure. I'm not thinking there's a podium in the cards either but at this point, in Sepan, and with rain???? We don't know jack.

Another fairly successful quali from the Mercs. If they'd made the decision to go for fresh inters like Vettel et al, they could of done even better.

Hopefully the work they did on long runs in practive will hold them in good stead for the race.
