Image doesn't seem to load for me...

Odd. It's a jpg uploaded via Imageshack. Don't know it that helps at all.

I've still got the original on my desktop so I could upload it as an attachment and see if that makes any difference. Can you see it on our other haunt?

The image works fine for me; maybe it was a temporary fault...

I'm hoping that McLaren have pulled a rabbit out of the hat for Malaysia, but the omens don't look good with just one week between races.

Where do they possibly have room in an F1 car to stick a rabbit and a top hat?

There's plenty of room in the back where the Mercedes V8 used to be... Paddy Lowe took that when he was put on gardening leave, there's a VW Beetle engine in it's place!

Yeah maybe a bit too soon after Melbourne, but one never knows. The team are probably realistically looking at the start of the European season to target any serious gains.

I hope WB's car has a good alarm on it :D

 At this point my 27 year old 911 may actually beat the McLaren around Sepang.

I'll be up for FP2, going to bed now as I feel sick :(

Maybe you caught what my wife and daughter has; both have flu like symptoms, so I am sleeping on the sofa tonight, I can't afford to get sick, but the bonus is that I can watch FP2!

Results from the end of Friday second practice session. Started in dry conditions but the rain did come. All the best times were set early in the session, but it was also clear to all teams that it was going to rain.

Nando and Kimi's times were set on the prime (hard) tires while Felipe and Seb did their best times on the option (medium) tire.

After the 2nd practice Seb has said he is "concerned about tires"

Button perplexed by McLaren's wet pace

Jenson Button admits he doesn't know why McLaren is so much more competitive in wet conditions after rain-affected second practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix.

McLaren's struggles appeared to be continuing on Friday with Button unable to match Lewis Hamilton's best FP1 time from 12 months ago set in the MP4-27. However, in the afternoon session a spell of rain required the intermediate tyres to be used and Button was quickest on that compound, but said after the session that McLaren is "miffed" by the car's wet pace.

"I don't understand why that is," Button said. "I think we're all miffed a little bit because I don't know how you can be so far off the pace in the dry; maybe we're running less fuel on the inter than other people but I think we showed in Melbourne also that we could get the inter working.

"So we're looking in to the reasons why and hopefully that'll help us with development but at the moment we've just got to focus on what we do with the dry tyre. It is smoother here so it does help us a little bit; we're not going to be fighting at the front still but I think we can get closer to getting the best out of what we have."

Button added that he didn't think a strategic approach to the weekend was likely to help McLaren as much as it could have in Melbourne.

"We're not looking at strategically starting 10th; I don't think we'll have a choice of starting in the top ten! I don't think there's a lot of degradation here, I think we're not going to see much degradation in the race at all so it's definitely not an issue that we have here like we had in the first race."

Sounds like a carbon copy of Ferrari's conundrums exactly a year back. Well well....Ferrari turned it around by Barcelona with wind tunnel issues, McLaren on the other hand are supposed to have the best simulator and wind tunnel facility in the paddock...let's see how quick they turn it around then.

It seems ages since we had a dry, sunny race here. When was the last one? Something like the inaugural one in 1999?

Not a bad day that one, and another classic "team orders" race from Ferrari Image

Wooo! Kimmi
McLaren are looking horrible again, not good for 'my team' and my 2nd favourite driver.

I ask a question here, do you UK viewers want to see a good race at 7am or a crappy, wet, delayed race at 9am? I have been to almost all of the races in Sepang, didn't go last year because of the change in times, F1 is supposed to be a wonderful weekend but since the times were changed for European viewers, everything stops after the last practice, quali and the race  We would normally meet our friends and have a few drinks and could be back to the hotel for dinner by 8pm, with the new timing it is hard to have fun after the races, it is too late really, and it always rains heavy so that is a bitch.

Anyway I still HeartKimmi and Jens and I hope for great, clean racing on Sunday :drink:
