Apparently raisins are highly toxic to dogs. Who knew? Although there's a vast difference in toxicity levels between the three raisins which is what I gave our dog, versus a couple of cups of raisins which is what it would take to kill a dog. My wife has no tolerance for me attempting to make that distinction to her.
