Yeah, I am still trying to come to terms with Benetton becoming Renault let alone this Genii/Lotus incarnation

It's much worse for me seeing as they were my favourite team. :(

I still like the Enstone squad. The new colours are great, and they're still a team with great character, and most importantly, competence.

They changed their identity totally, no more Renault name (save for engine), no more Flavio, no more banana-man livery.

Back at the scene of his first win 10 years ago... and things looked ok in FP1 it seemed. :) The one race where for once i actually hope it is dry, so you can be sure it'll cane it down. :hehe:

He's looking strong again. He said last week was an easy win....and that was from 7th on the grid! I think the Ferrari's will be up there if the conditions don't let Kimi do less stops. Alonso or Kimi for the win I think.......but Massa in there, I wonder if he'd be allowed to win?

Would be great to see the Lotus strong again. I wonder if Grosjean can be a little closer to Kimi this time?

I think this season is going to be more of skill and strategy instead of car and strategy....so I foresee this being Alonso VS Kimi.

All my hopes on Kimi and Lotus being up to the task till the bitter/sweet end.

Don't fool yourself, it's still all about getting the tires right. Unless a circuit is so abrasive to begin with that everyone needs to make 3 maybe four stops, the teams that can get the biggest window around a tire's optimum performance life will win.

We saw that loud and clear with what happened to Red Bull last week.

there's still some of that Benetton Renault spirit in the team's DNA. Its one of those teams aiming for WDC instead of WCC. Of course everyone wants to win both, but lotus-renault-Benetton clearly choses no 1 and will sacrifice 2nd driver if it makes sense.

looks like the car is now been developed to fit Kimi. Last year Grosjean was still at least fast but unreliable. Now he's lost his speed with the new car. All focus is on giving Kimi a car that can win in same way they did for Alonso and Schumi. I don't expect much from Grosjean this year, lost his chances last year and may get a accidental podium but not the kind of improvement he'd need to be considered a serious challenger.
