Session delayed to 6:20UK/17:20 Local Time

Will they get the session in before it gets dark if they keep delaying the start?

We might end up with a quali session tomorrow before the race!

Unbelieveable, the track looks fine and race control is acting like w**kers, 10, even 15 years ago all the cars would be out there braving it out!!

I remember when F1 drivers were men and raced in conditions like this all the time! In these days of H&S F1, a sprinkling of rain and the session is delayed/stopped. These guys are supposed to be best in the World, let them get out on track and show what they are made of; so far there is a 30 minute delay, I'm not staying up all night waiting for the FIA to man up!

Because of the rain, quali forecast changes a bit; I think it improves the changes of Alonso and Lewis.

Still:
1. Vettel
2. Alonso
3. Lewis
4. Kimi
5. Webber
6. Nico
7. Grosbeak
8. Massa
9. Perez
10. ????

Something within those lines I'd expect vettel to still take it but it makes bit move even and with a bit of luck or unluck I see that Alonso or Lewis could suprise and take pole.

Haha looks like the Mercs are trying to make a point!!

I'm sure if the drivers were able to make the decision to drive in these conditions, they would.

You are allowed to back up if in a dangerous position on track, so he's got a case there.

Just a second slower than Nico with a bad rear wing, good stuff for Mercs so far!!

I'm liking the sound of Hamilton's new race engineer...this one doesn't sound clueless.

Another 20min delay...this is just ridiculous when the goddamn cars themselves would make the track conditions way better than what the marshals can do.

Apparently the the problem is that the drivers wont keep off the slippery white lines and curbs at the edge of the track; my view is if the drivers cant adjust their driving style for the conditions, then they deserve to end up in the wall, as road car drivers we drive differently in differing conditions, why cant these F1 drivers do the same and get on with Q!

Charlie Whiting says the delay is due to a lot of debris on the track too that needed clearing as well as the rain. He adds that he's "not that confident we'll start at half past but we'll do the best we can"
