No-one truly knows why Lewis left McLaren;

I'm sure a lot of people know why Lewis left Mclaren. Just none of us. :hehe: I think Lewis isn't the kind of guy to play media games and I believe the reasons he's given. He's never had a problem saying how he's felt before and it's gotten him into trouble plenty. Why not believe that what he's saying very plainly now is the truth?

Martin Brundle wrote in the F1 Racing magazine before the current one that when he spoke to Lewis off the record about his reasons for leaving McLaren, Lewis said things that shocked him and were unrepeatable

People thrive in different environments. Lewis did not thrive in Mclarens environment. Look at people like Mika and Ayrton they excelled in the Mclaren enviroment.

It is all horses for burgers

I think part of the problem with Lewis was that he was never accepted at Mclaren as his own person, always their protégé, their property and he outgrew that and they couldn't see it,so they lost out. He almost became part of the wallpaper. His talent was wasted and he go fed up. They say familiarity breeds contempt, and that's what seems to have happened to Lewis at Mclaren. Jenson was treated with far more respect. Well it's different for Lewis at Mercedes and he's loving it.

I suppose a parent always sees their child as a child. That is what Lewis was to them

Yes he was. But surely a good manager would have seen past that and seized the opportunity?

You could always argue that Lewis' management was responsible for this alleged attitude as much as anyone; a celebrity management company for a sportsperson seems crazy!

You know Lewis has never come out and said Jenson was treated with more respect yet Lewis fans love to act like its a fact.
This is what annoys me about Lewis fans.

Vettel wants a rematch after Lewis smashed his time in the reasonably priced car on top gear

Seemed to have something to prove when he tweeted the telemetrics showing that even though he was on the throttle more than Jenson (maxing the car better at the corners etc etc) throughout the lap, Jenson was still so much quicker round the lap due to the massive advantage his car had.

Now if this wasn't his attempt at bringing the worlds attention to a serious bit of disrespect (the team told him and everyone else that there was no difference overall in the 2 wings, 1 was good at a certain part and that cancelled out the rest blah blah blah)

Now if he went to those lengths knowing he was off to Merc, smart Lewis fans do not need to be told to see clearly whats happened at the sponsor and corporate friendly multi media company know for its disturbingly good looking staff.

I find disturbingly good looking to be a disturbing statement.

When a racing team boss tells the press that his 2 drivers are disturbingly goodlooking rather than very good drivers the benefit of doubt would point to the priorities of the team being marketing etc first and racing second.

at least I assume that's what it means :yikes:

That was an amateur and childish move by Hamilton. He had the choice of the wing, just because Jensons team decided to use it and Lewis' team didn't doesn't mean Jenson was being treated with more respect.

But of course Lewis' Legion see things a bit differently to the average F1 fan, most of whom only started to follow the sport since 07, and their miutterings rub off on the long term F1 Lewis fans.

Yet to meet a smart Lewis fan

And you were there when this happened? Or because the team said so it must be true?

Ok the smart people in the world through time always agreed with what they were told by the 'authorities'

The earth is still flat because the team said so?:rofl::rofl:
