Andrew Benson(yeah I know, not keen on the guy) reckons the Mclaren has too much understeer. D'you think that's because they altered It for Jenson to give him grip, but they went a bit too far with it?

The front of the mclaren is designed to to warm the tyre up quickly. I would imaging because of the low temperatures in testing that they where not getting the warm fronts they wanted. To dial out the understeer of having a stable rear end

Hi, I have been here for a while but dont post often but I am sick and tired of hearing from Lewis Fanboys and girls about how crappy MacLaren are and how Lewis is happier with Mercedes now. FFS, Lewis is in F1 because of MacLaren, they nurtured him and gave him a seat in a top car, not many drivers can say that. He has been with Mercedes for two minutes in comparison to his time with MacLaren and all I hear from the fanpeople (I made that up) is that Lewis is happy, Lewis likes Mercedes, good god some of you Lewis Lovers just go so over the top with the love.
I like Jenson, I know he is not as fast a Lewis but he is a great driver and so much more fun in interviews
I also love F1, I like to see good wheel to wheel racing and great overtaking and if such an overtake happened to my favourite or he was penalised I just suck it up. I dont immediately think 'Lewis was knobbled'

The outright fanatism for Lewis and the insults about Jenson are really too much on what should be a F1 Forum. There seems to be a few who are so crazy in love with Lewis that they have lost their minds. These men race cars, we love them for that, I dont want to see pics of Lewis with his dog or the puppy he just got.

So, my moan is over, eventually. I want to see MacLaren and Lotus doing well this year

McLaren have no engine deal for 2014 and Merc are pushing for a decision in a matter of days. There is talk of Honda already having an engine but there is also talk of Honda not having an engine until 2015.
Staying with Mercedes will mean McLaren will be at a disadvantage to AMGF!, Ferrari and RBR when it comes to engine budget (they have to pay up)

If I were a McLaren fan, I would be a bit more concerned with a stable engine deal for the new era than how much of Lewis' dog I can handle

I'm not so concerned about 2014 or the future. I'm just posting on a MacLaren thread about the total disrespect some posters have shown to MacLaren since Lewis left them. I am not saying they have the best two drivers, I am not saying they have the best TP, but what I am asking for is a little respect from the Lewis Fanpeople (TM) I dont hear so much utter crap from any other fans, just the Lewis fans. You were all into a MacLaren conspiracy and total nonsense last season, and the fact that on the Button thread you 'fans' were still whining about the rear wing. Really, grow up, get a grip, support your driver but dont find any excuse to diss MacLaren especially when things didn't work out for Lewis.

I think he is a great driver, one of the fastest, but I dont really like him. On Top Gear he seemed aloof, he thinks he is some superstar, which I guess he is, but people like Kimmi are still normal not arrogant. Jenson talks to Jeremy and they have a laugh, Lewis was there to prove something, so fecking what! He was boring as hell and I found the whole thing tedious.

That's just his point, Lewis fans seem far too concerned about McLaren still. Albeit a constant overly negative concern.
Great lack of respect for the team that gave Lewis his shot in Motorsport. That says a lot about people's character.

People that go out of their way to hate Lewis fans puzzle me, why not just live and let live? Why do you spend time reading the Lewis thread if seeing pictures of his dog bother you? Why is it that your head didn't explode when videos of Kimi doing a commercial, or one playing with his dog are posted? There are just as many fans of his and fans of Vettle and even more blinded McLaren can do no wrong fans here but the ones that bother you are the Lewis fans?

I think a therapy session or tree may help.

Since its a McLaren thread, I just came on to say how I'd be happy if they can actually take a championship away from Red Bull this year and I find a post bashing Lewis fans.
