Way easier to negotiate down than it is to negotiate up. Also, let them make the first offer. I've been on the other side of the situation where you ask what someone is looking for and it turns out that it's 20k less than you were ready to offer. You can also fool around with other things that are not salary, depending on the company you may be able to get an expense account, or even an extra week of vacation if they can't come up to your salary.
