Negotiate the maximum you can up front, since every measly 2~4% annual increase thereafter will be based on that.

Way easier to negotiate down than it is to negotiate up. Also, let them make the first offer. I've been on the other side of the situation where you ask what someone is looking for and it turns out that it's 20k less than you were ready to offer. You can also fool around with other things that are not salary, depending on the company you may be able to get an expense account, or even an extra week of vacation if they can't come up to your salary.

Once I threatened my boss's first born child and managed to get a 4.5% raise.

If that total job website is believed the average wage for the negotiable job is a 50% pay rise
