McLaren and Mercedes both seem to be able to put in decent times on the harder compounds. But looking at times in Barcelona, they're at the place where they were last year in qualifying! I know there are a lot of variables and in testing we're looking at a track that is havily rubbered in by the end of the second day but considering the fact that they're no longer using unlimited DRS, it looks like the cars are going to be faster, and that the Pirelli tires are indeed quicker.

I know it's only testing but Marussia and Caterham appear to be a worrying distance behind the other teams.

Ferrari should spread the welth to the minnows rather than stock piling vast hoards of Spanish gold.

Both McLaren and Ferrari haven't yet come to terms with tire management. Both cars seem to chew their rubber a little faster than say RB, Lotus and Merc
