Yeah but the noose was designed by Newey, and it had so little drag that he slipped out with no harm done.

Isnt it a bit sad getting excited about who can race a piece of crap car, around a dis-used airfield, the fastest...?

A lot of things are sad that way. Like kicking a spherical stitched cow skin or pig skin across a pasture. Chess or fashion week now that's exciting. :cloud9:

It could be bigger than F1.

It's ok, Vettel has the titles that count.:hehe:

and 2 seconds faster than JB :wavey:

youd expect him to lap him in the same F1 car over the course of a normal dry race with no issues for both

I wouldn't put that much stake into it. I mean it's obvious that no F1 driver wants to go there and faceplant but there's a lot of variable that can affect performance. I was reading through the TG F1 Lap Time Wiki

What I did find more interesting that anything else is the fact that a very 'good' mere mortal driver is still four seconds or so off the pace off of a F1 driver. Humbling.

Lewis is at the top, and I'm sure Vettel was watching. :hehe:

For me, its what a driver can do in a normal car away from the over engineered ultimate machine designed to get around a track as quickly as possible.

yes there are a lot of variables affecting each driver at the time of the test, maybe a better indicator would be if the Stig did a timed lap after each guest and the difference in time was the measure

Put this way, if its true that F1 drivers show more differences when the car is bad than when its perfect, then the 'reasonably priced car' should be pretty telling. e.g if all the drivers did a lap in the Red Bull and then the HRT, Im guessing the times would be much closer in the Red Bull, therefore we could say the HRT is a bigger test of a drivers true ability. In which case the Lianda 1.2 ltr shitebox should be a real acid test.

Of course it will then be argued that some drivers prefer front wheel drive, and a touch of torque steer etc etc, but again surely the best driver on ability would be the one that could get in a car deemed suitable for the granny going to the shops and extract the maximum out of it over a lap.

Anyway not many would argue against Lewis and Seb being the quickest over a lap, and the results show this

Seb has the titles, he knows and we all know he has the car, I am sure he is itching to come back and improve his time whatever anyone says

Yeah, Seb knows the score, he'll be itching to come back on that one....

Unless its done on the same day it is irrelevant due too things like track temp, air temp, tyre pressures, winds. It all makes a difference! Best measure for racing drivers is karts.

It's good that Lewis is top but don't get carried away thinking its the true measure of a driver, that's fanboyism at its best.
