Didn't Lewis himself say that the 2013 McLaren was going to be fast before he took the plunge to sign for Mercedes?

Not sure if he'd said before but he did say to Checo at a press conference just after the announcement.

bud read what you see, not what you think people are saying!! I believe there's every chance McLaren will come out of the box with a fast car, that's not dissing McLaren, that's respecting aspects of them!! Ok there's aspects I'm not impressed with, but turning up with a fast car isn't one if them! The tweet I posted was the fifth driver and Button getting excited about the 2013 car. How is that putting a down McLaren and being a Lewis fan person???

He' s the guy who is on twitter representing McLaren....but I guess in a friendly way which is why he's called the fifth driver and not McLaren Ltd...or whatever the official thing is.

Yep, twitter is definitely handy that way. Especially when we're awaiting decisions from race stewards after controversies...twitter feeds it through first.

I tried twitter once. Found it pointless and deleted my account.

McLaren got a trophy in 2006 and would have got another in 2007.

What percentage of McLaren drivers in history delivered a WC?

McLaren have had 6 different drivers champions.
Ferrari have had 9 different drivers champions despite being in F1 16 years longer than McLaren.
McLaren are doing pretty well in this respect.
